Kahlua Hotel Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

My husband and I stayed at Debbie's Studios on our honeymoon. The studios are a good size, with a small kitchenette (fridge, sink, 2 burners, dishes), large closet, tons of drawer space, air conditioning (5 Euro extra per day), safe, balcony over looking the ocean with views of Turkey. The apartments were also very clean when we got there.||||They are located in a quiet area about a 30 second walk from the beach. It is a great area to stay in as it is very quiet and relaxing. It is also about a 5 minute drive away from the airport. The apartments are above a restaurant called Mike's. Mike and his wife serve delicious home made meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - varying from traditional Greek meals to some English and western dishes, amazing desserts and the best margarita on the rocks I've ever had! Mike also owns some of the studios and rents them out (his website is www.mikesbar.gr). I would have to say that Mike and his wife really made our trip because they are SO friendly and incredibly hospitable. Mike was great at helping us find our way around the island and super friendly. There is also free WiFi connection at Mike's. There is also a small super market beside Mike's and the owners are also very friendly and helpful.||||I would definetely stay here again, but book the apartment through Mike this time. The only complaint I would have would be that the pillows were not very comfortable, so I would recommend...

Most definitely not the best. On arrival late afternoon (3pm) my room was not ready even though check in was lunch time. It was extremely dirty and smelly and instead of being able to sit down and unpack I was ushered out to quickly go to the beach. The room did come round clean but not a welcome experience. A further 2 times in my week I came home in the evening to change for dinner and was asked to wait half an hour as they were cleaning it at 5.30pm. Really not ideal. The last cleaning experience the room smelt even worse than if they had just left it. Like an old dirty towel had been used to wipe the floor. The room also had ants crawling everywhere and the bed felt like it had creepy crawlies. You must pay extra for the safe and extra each day for air con. The pictures look A lot better than in real life. You are near the beach but I would suggest paying a bit more and finding a better hotel to stay in - it isn't worth the money. The staff are friendly and hard working but the reception isn't manned and no-one is offering you any helpful advice. It's probably ideal if your students but really not ideal if your expecting something relaxing. Your above a supermarket and near a truck load of restaurant pub bars that constantly cat call or heckle you inside it got...

Prima di tutto, bisogna chiarire che ci era stata garantita una stanza per cinque persone e siamo state invece divise in una da tre ed un’altra da due, che erano nettamente diverse tra loro sia a livello di pulizia che di servizi poiché, a quanto pare, non esistono realmente stanze da cinque persone (servizio richiesto anche da altri ragazzi con cui ci siamo confrontati e che sono stati anche loro a loro volta divisi). Partendo quindi da questo presupposto, che anche a livello economico non è corretto, visto che era un servizio che avevamo richiesto e pagato, la parte peggiore riguarda la sporcizia e la mancata manutenzione delle stanze. La camera da tre era abbastanza pulita, anche se non venivano mai a fare le pulizie o banalmente a svuotare il cestino che si faceva sempre più pieno o a svuotare il frigo dai precedenti ospiti (abbiamo trovato un formaggio già aperto e capelli non nostri sulla porta del frigo). Invece la stanza delle altre due ragazze era semplicemente terribile: collocata in uno scantinato al piano 0 (in realtà sotto il livello delle scale), senza luce esterna, con blatte morte ovunque e muffa sulle pareti e scale, balconi esterni inaccessibili poiché cadevano pietre dei lavori e tubi di scarico, quando al piano di sopra utilizzavano i servizi igienici tutto il cattivo odore si diffondeva al piano inferiore nell’intera stanza (quindi in camera delle mie amiche) provenendo dal gabinetto del piano di sopra; inoltre la doccia era costituita da un piatto doccia e da una bacinella, non aveva tende, lo specchio del bagno era rotto, quello della stanza non attaccato alla parete ma solo appoggiato, si trovavano blatte e insetti ovunque anche sui muri, macchie di muffa “ritinteggiate” a detta loro (detto dal manutentore stesso), fili per attaccapanni per il bucato rotti. La cosa più rivoltante è che le stanze anche se vengono pulite comunque vi lasciano gli insetti morti a terra, BLATTE in particolare. Sono FINALMENTE state poi spostate in un’altra stanza dopo tantissime resistenze da parte della struttura e nella nuova stanza l’aria condizionata era rotta. In aggiunta, il personale è incapace, poco accogliente, non sanno l’inglese, poco delicati (hanno lanciato e rotto la valigia di una di noi)… l’unica che si salva a livello umano è la signora delle pulizie che però non svolge al 100% il suo lavoro e non sa l’inglese. Struttura terribile, assolutamente sconsigliata ma posizione strategica poiché a cinque minuti da spiagge e ristoranti ecc. Ciliegina sulla torta: ristorante di fronte buono, cameriere all’ingresso molto tenero e gentile ma staff restante antipaticissimo (non meritevole di mancia). p.s. tutto molto bello...
