Naria Medieval house — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

We stayed with my husband for 10 nights. The apartment was on the first floor. You can definitely find much better options for the same price; we were disappointed. Below are the pluses and minuses. Pluses: Good location. Close to car sales lots, cafes, and restaurants. The kitchen has everything needed to make breakfast. The apartment is fairly clean. Minuses: Terrible humidity. We were leavingt beach towels to dry in the car because they couldn't dry in the room for three days. Bath towels were changed every three days, so imagine how pleasant it was to dry off with always damp towels. A moldy smell coming from the bed or somewhere near it. We stuffed a blanket between the wall and the bed to reduce the smell. Two mornings we saw cockroache in the bathroom. Poor sound insulation. Very bad internet. There are trash bins about 15 meters from the entrance. For example, glass waste is collected at 4:30 AM, and it’s loud. It’s better not to sleep with the window open, but inside it’s damp and hard to breathe. Also dirty around after collecting waste. The air conditioning unit is very noisy. Stay away! There are lovely accommodations on the island and this one is not one of them. An absolute nightmare experience.

We had made the booking and were told to come for check in at 2 pm. We arrived and had to wait under the blazing sun for 15 minutes before someone came to open the door. When we called them again to see if they were arriving, they said they have 17 properties and can’t be in two places at once!!! Mind you, they had asked detailed information about our time of arrival prior.

The house has a tiny staircase. When we asked for someone to assist us with the luggage, they said it’s not their responsibility.

The old town is all cobblestoned, not the smooth kind but the ones with round stones, and taxis are not allowed to enter. No one has informed us about this and we had to drag the suitcases from the gate to the accommodation for 15 minutes leaving us with blistered hands. We said it would have been great if they would have let us know about the situation in advance and their response was that it’s our job to find out details about a place we...

The House has two appartements for rent, we got the one on top. It is small but offers room enough for 2. It is quite dark as there is only one small window. You get exclusive access to the adjacent veranda, where you can sit in the sun from 9 to 18. We came mid april, many restaurants and bars where still closed. So there was no noise from the place 20m away, where at least 5 etablissements prepared their opening. The appartement is perfectly located in the old town. On arrival we found 6 bottles of water, 2 bottles of wine and more. Very nice!

Unfortunately the airco from the adjacent hotel is VERY NOISY. The walls are slightly trembling and you feel like surrounded by tumbling washing machines. All night long. Ever took a cruise ship? Like that! Very annoying. We contacted the owner twice,...
