Loena Luxury Suites Thessaloniki — Hotel in Municipality of Thessaloniki

Absolutely wonderful, minimalistic sleek, high-end, designer-decorated “luxury” suite/apartment that had everything we needed for a great stay in the heart of the city. The photos are true to the room, which had a firm bed, crisp white linens, shower with good hot water availability, working air conditioning, in-room safe, full kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, cooktop, small refrigerator, daily cleaning service, and excellent security measures in-place to feel safe in this oasis of modern luxury located in a mixed-use building on a side street in a “less polished” area of town with lots of graffiti - but very convenient to walking everywhere.

The elevator was broken (briefly) a couple of times during our 9-night stay and the suites are located on the 4th floor of the building. At no point did we feel unsafe after we met the host (Christos), who made sure our stay was excellent and that we had everything we needed. Christos is really an outstanding and helpful host who takes great care of his guests and property.

I have to be honest about this point: the area surrounding the suites is very vibrant with many convenient restaurants, bars and shops directly outside. However, the noise from the people hanging out all night at these establishments (including two motorcycle clubs and a headbanger nightclub) located near the suites make it harder to get a good night’s sleep without drugs and/or earplugs if you are a light sleeper. My husband was able to sleep through everything. There was frequent daytime construction noise as well, due to nearby projects in process.

Overall, I would definitely stay at this establishment again because of the overall room quality and impeccable host. Just bring earplugs for a five-star...

I have it a 4 stars because it wasn't clear in the marketing that there were stairs prior to the elevator, making it difficult for anyone who does not travel light. However the owner or hotel manager is more than helpful and willing to help travelers with their luggage up and down. The hotel reaches out via what's app before your arrival and you can easily communicate your needs for assistance, if any. The elevator is being serviced and broke down everyday during my stay. I hope they figure out a permanent solution for it. The service is impeccable 100% - kind, attentive, agreeable. The room is also exquisitely beautiful, modern, new, clean. The lighting choices are on point. The furniture and decor are as stunning as the photos. The air conditioning is 100% excellent. The smart tv ofers Netflix and prime tv connect which are excellent options. There was some construction going on somewhere nearby or in the building during my stay so that was a bit noisy. We had an amazing stay at Loena Luxury Suites and I would recommend it not just because of the excellent quality of the rooms and the affordable price but mainly because of the wonderful host. The owner, mr. Christos was very accommodating to our needs and wanted to make sure we had a pleasant stay.
