Blessed Blue Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

We had an amazing time staying at Blessed Blue and we’re so glad we chose to stay here in Oia. Oia is mind blowingly beautiful and picture postcard perfect. The view from Blessed Blue is also fantastic. You feel like you’re in Oia ( which you are ) but since you’re down a lot of steps you don’t have crowds passing by. Oia is lovely , full of gift shops and views. And if you walk a few minutes inland you can find much cheaper places to eat. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and beautiful. With finishing touches that made it an extra special stay. Most of this was completely down to Lazarus who works for Blessed Blue. He helped us find the accommodation and met us in the post office car park ( if you hire a car you can park here for free ) and carried our bags with us. I would note that the steps are steep down to Blessed Blue. But mostly, take Lazarus up on his offer to meet you. You’ll also avoid getting lost this way. In fact a lot of Oia ( & Santorini ) is hilly / steep with lots of steps - really tricky if you had mobility concerns and TRAINERS ARE A MUST - flip flops or sandals will not quite cut it when navigating the steps everywhere on the island. Lazarus kept in touch every day with weather updates, helpful tips, asking if we needed anything and imparting his knowledge of the island , and Oia in particular. You certainly don’t often receive customer service quite like it in the UK. Definitely a much more personal and hands on approach. He even brought us some souvenir gifts as we left and left us some wine, water and fruit on our arrival. If you are thinking of booking Blessed Blue … like I was … just do it. Blessed Blue in Oia is an absolute gem and stands out among the many Airbnb options in Santorini. As a family of four adults, we were looking for a place that offered both comfort and authenticity and this place exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation was spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease.

The views from the property were breathtaking — those iconic blue domes and endless sea views that you dream about when you think of Santorini. The location is ideal, tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and private, yet still within walking distance to everything Oia has to offer, shops, restaurants, and scenic pathways.

What truly made our stay exceptional was the hosting team. Their communication was prompt, warm, and professional. They provided excellent local recommendations, helped us arrange transfers, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. You could tell they genuinely cared about making our visit special.

In terms of value, Blessed Blue offered one of the best experiences for the price , especially in a premium location like Oia. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone...

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Santorini & loved Blessed Blue! All of the details in the cave are beautiful and we received a welcome complimentary wine, & a 1L water bottle daily! They assisted in booking (and cancelling) activities, and made our experience so much easier! We took a private day tour with Lazarus & it was excellent! He taught us so much about Santorini & its history, we visited many places on the island, and he even was our photographer & took the most amazing photos at the most sought after locations on the island! Our lunch spot was superb, and his recommendations for the remainder of our stay were all excellent! The porter/transfwr service was always timely and so helpful! It’s a must to book them, it made navigating the steep Oia staircases much easier (steps are a bit steep going down to the cave suite). I can’t imagine having to lug our suitcases (and we had carry ons).
