Blue Art Caves — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Most unforgettable experience!!!!! We just stayed at the Starry Sky Suite, and it was incredible. Really gorgeous place!!!! Catherine, the hotel manager, took really good care of us!!! She exceeded every expectation we had and she answered our questions/requests even before we requested them, making our trip a real holiday where you are taken care of and do not have to worry about anything. She also assisted with reservations, hotel/airport transfers, luggage storage, and also introduced us to the local culture nd festivities (a real honour to make us feel part of the community and to see her dancing the typical Greek dances 😂). The property is incredible!!! With stunning views to the caldera and you do not have to worry about the stairs down to the place, “strong” Admir will help you with the valet luggage service. Total privacy!!! Our suite has the jacuzzi inside the room, with view to the caldera as well so it is completely private!!! The breakfast was delicious every day. This was truly a 5 star hotel experience, from daily cleanings and refills on coffee/water, to fresh and delicious breakfast delivered, in a stunning location. We highly recommend...

Our experience at the Blue Art Caves might have been one of our best AirBnb experiences ever. The view of the caldera is truly stunning, an unbeatable way to wake up every morning. The location is perfectly positioned away from the instagram crowds, but a convenient walk to amenities. The room is clean, comfortable and stocked with the necessities for travelers.

Catherine and her team were welcoming, helpful, and extremely accommodating. They consistently went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We were welcomed with a private transfer and a friendly (and frankly much needed) porter service to get our bags down the many steps that Oía is known for. The included breakfasts and dinners were some of the best meals from our entire trip — don’t miss out on the gyro!

I sometimes wonder why Google doesn’t offer a 6th star for extraordinary service. If anyone deserves it, it's Catherine! She was way more than just a host—she truly took care of us! From organizing pickups and helping us having a memorable private speed boat trip, to ensuring we had the best sunset views at the top restaurants in Oia, she went above and beyond. The accommodation itself is exceptional, worth every penny, and situated in the best part of town. While Oia is massively crowded with social media “celebs” trying to make their fake photos, this place, being slightly lower and closer to the sea (which also means higher value!!) offers a peaceful retreat.
