We booked four nights for two at this boutique hotel in Imerovigli, Santorini in June. What an incredible place to stay! We arrived at the airport to a driver holding a sign with our names on it, a coordinator and a porter named Gelo to help with our luggage. Then we drove to the stairs leading to the hotel. Gelo got our luggage up and through the maze of sugar cubes to our hotel.||When we arrived, we checked in with Peter and Mary, they gave us a breakfast menu, and they showed us to our room. Our room was decorated with flowers, towel swans, a handwritten letter and chilled champagne. Our travel agent mentioned we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and 50th birthdays and boy did Mary and Peter celebrate with us! They made our first impressions of the place so special.||The room: we booked a Junior Suite with Outdoor Jacuzzi. Our bed was very clean and comfortable, we had a large wardrobe, two bedside tables, under wardrobe storage for luggage, a beautiful bathroom, with a large shower, a flat screen tv, two sets of windows and the door was also a full window. The gated patio was a bonus room, with two sunbeds, a table with two chairs, a sun umbrella, a private jacuzzi of course, a rattan bean bag, plants and spectacular views. I want to post ALL the pictures of the room and the views of the cities of Oia and Fira along with the stunning view of the caldera in the Aegean Sea! It. Was. Breathtaking.||The location: perfect. Imerovigli is situated between Fira and Oia and the hotel is in the heart of it. The caldera sunsets definitely rival Oia, but without the crowds. You can also easily see the fireworks of Fira, which is the port and a little closer to Imerovigli. It is within walking distance, maybe 2 miles away, maybe less. There is a main pedestrian path that leads you there and it is very easy. We walked everywhere. Oia is about 4 or 5 miles away and we hiked there one day, no problem. So it is in between both cities, beautiful, very accessible and without the city noise. There are shops, restaurants and gelato stands peppered along the path. We researched the area prior and were so pleased with our selection. ||The people, the food: Peter and Mary are outstanding hosts. We spent time talking with them each day/night gathering information about excursions and daily activities, restaurants, etc. They are very friendly and knowledgeable, and you can just tell their primary interest is to make the stay memorable, comfortable and special. They have a full spread breakfast included and you make your selections on an order sheet each night. Pancakes, eggs, fruit, pastries, salad, coffee, juice. We ate it all! You request a time, and they deliver the breakfast to your patio. So then you just eat outside enjoying the breeze with the umbrella shielding you from the sun. It’s very pleasant.||We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff is outstanding, the rooms are impeccable, the vistas are amazing, the food is delicious, it is convenient, quiet but not so secluded that you are unable to enjoy the other areas of this magical island. If we visit Santorini again, we will not hesitate...

Read moreGrand Suite with private pool||We had the best 'room' in the accommodation. First, it must be highlighted very positively that we were checked in at 11:30 AM upon arrival, even though the actual check-in time is at 3 PM. Thank you very much again! That was super nice! Petro and Marry also gave us a great overview of all the possibilities on the island. Massages were also offered in the room if someone likes it. The menu could be a bit larger; there was a selection of snacks (all of which tasted great) and some drinks, including champagne. We also received a delicious wine as a welcome gift. Otherwise, you have to eat out or use a 24-hour delivery service. The highlight was our view from the terrace with a private pool. From Thira with the cliff on the left side over the fantastic view of the sea with the island and the aesthetic rock Skaros to Oia on the right side, you have perhaps the best view of Santorini from this terrace. Definitely one of the best, how can you top that? There were 2 well-equipped bathrooms with rain showers, 2 bedrooms with large beds, a very large sofa, and much more. The design by Guy Laroche was present everywhere and fitted in very well. The beds were very comfortable, especially the pillows. So there is plenty of luxury. There was also an open fireplace in the living room, although I don't know if you can use it.|Furthermore, a small flaw: |The privacy on our terrace could be better, as we could see and hear 'neighbors' on at least one other terrace. Unfortunately, they initially placed a personal Bluetooth speaker with music there, and we were forced to listen to the music and they’ve been sometimes a bit loud. But I think it's a general problem on Santorini, and the cave houses are just built that way. There are enough ways to avoid it, but some people like to be by...
