La Madeleine Oia Suites and Caves — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Our family has never been so happy with a hotel experience! La Madeleine far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious, modern, extremely clean, the beds are comfortable, and the A/C worked great! The cleaning person was fantastic. She replaced ALL towels (for the jacuzzi and shower) daily, made our beds daily, etc. The rooms smell amazing, too. The location of La Madeleine is perfect. We assumed being in the heart of Oia during peak season it would be busy and noisy outside of the hotel. However, it was the complete opposite. It was quiet and relaxing. Even though a quick 1 minute walk (maybe less) from La Madeleine and you have everything at your disposal (restaurants, coffee shops, gelato, an assortment of stores, shops, etc). The suite we stayed in was perfect. You have your own private terrace with a table to eat at which is where they serve you your custom ordered breakfast. The day before you order what you would like from their menu and let them know a time and they deliver it straight to your room. The menu had a large variety to choose from. Eggs cooked any way you would like, omelets, fruit, sausage, toast, cakes, croissants, yogurts, cereal, cappuccino's, and much more. It is all freshly cooked that morning and it is delicious. The private jacuzzi was our favorite part of the room. We were pleasantly surprised with how large the jacuzzi was. The view from the balcony and jacuzzi was breathtaking. The real star of La Madeleine however, is Anna. I cannot say enough about how amazing and helpful she was. From ordering us takeout (multiple times), arranging transportation, to answering my many questions. She never made us feel like an inconvenience. She always made us feel like royalty and as if we were the most important guests in the world. Our stay would not have been as amazing as it was without Anna. During my recent stay at La Madeleine in Oia, Santorini, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional hospitality provided by Rudina and Ismail. Their attentiveness and dedication ensured a memorable and comfortable experience throughout my visit.

The highlight of my accommodation was the breathtaking view of the iconic blue domes, visible directly from my room’s private terrace. This serene setting was further enhanced by a private lawn and balcony, offering an intimate space to relax and soak in the picturesque surroundings. The addition of a private jacuzzi on the balcony provided the perfect touch of luxury, allowing for relaxation while enjoying the stunning vistas.

La Madeleine seamlessly combines traditional Cycladic architecture with modern amenities, creating an ambiance that is both authentic and comfortable. The suite was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and aesthetic appeal. 

The central location of the hotel in Oia made it convenient to explore the charming village, with its array of shops, restaurants, and scenic spots. Despite its proximity to the bustling center, the hotel maintained a tranquil atmosphere, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration.

In summary, my stay at La Madeleine was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the remarkable hospitality of Rudina and Ismail, the stunning blue dome views from my private terrace, and the luxurious amenities provided. Superb superb superb!!|This property is honestly outstanding. The building, food and most importantly the staff, especially Rudina.|The actual suites and location are first class. We stayed in suite 4 and it was honestly breathtaking waking up to the beautiful views each morning. The sun never seemed to leave our rooftop terrace. The place was absolutely immaculate. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. Towels, robes slippers all so luxurious. Rooms cleaned every day. The breakfast each morning was always delicious. The attention to detail was very welcomed. Lastly I really would like to give Rudina a massive shout out. This lady is truly amazing and always had the biggest smile and warmest welcome each time we were in her company.
