I dont usually leave 1 star reviews but here i must! Dont recommend at all if you want to enjoy Budapest! Arrived before 11PM had to wait nearly one hour outside to get in. Apparently, there is no reception just person coming in and out. When was greeted, l was obviously not pleased with me staying outside for 1 hour during night time in unknown city, plus was told because Im checking in after 11 I have to pay 10 euros extra which is just unacceptable as Ive arrived before and there was noone. When i started to prove that i was there before 11 i was grabbed by hand and pulled with words that receptionist will prove me that Im wrong. That was appalling, nearly started calling police because this kind of behaviour is just not acceptable. Apparently they didnt have my correct number or email from Agoda so they did not give me a call before arrival in order to make sure what time Im coming. In the end Ive agreed to pay 10 euros and offered to pay on the same night, was told better to pay next day. Next day i woke up waited for receptionist but no one was there, so i left to city then received a call from receptionist with angry voice that they are waiting for me to pay, luckily i wasn't far away so Ive returned. I gave cash for room and 10 euros for late check in and was given 1 receipt where overall amount was stated, Ive asked to write breakdown what i've paid for i was told in a very rude way NO she cant do it, so i had to argue again in order to get right receipt after some time finally i got it , to say that i was super upset with such behaviour is nothing compare to how I felt! Room was ok quiet spacious, but floor was so squeaky cant move without huge noise around, and i`ve got plenty of ants in my room, especially in bathroom. Once you check out there is no luggage room or toilet to use, so money vs value you get...

It’s pretty much in between 2 metro stops, so you can get off at either 1. |The place was clean and tidy; you have your communal kitchen, living room and bathroom, all well maintained. There is a balcony overlooking the main street where you would have walked on to reach the hostel. |Because we arrived early, the staff who was on shift was kind enough to let us leave our stuff there so we can explore the town. Hannah was also very helpful with recommendations for local restaurants, getting to the train station, and other bits of information about Budapest. |We had the private room with a toilet and bathroom. Unfortunately, the toilet was either stuffed or the drainage didn’t work properly. The bath also took a while to slowly drain as you shower. |Room is simple, what you can expect from a hostel, but 1 of the more spacious hostels I’ve stayed in. |Overall, a clean and tidy place, great location - in fact, it’s across the road from the nightlife and bar area - and in a quiet building, fantastic if you want to have a good...
Read moreThe location of this property is second to none particularly if you are visiting this city by public transport. The metro stop , Deak ference ter is just 5 minutes away by foot and the bus to airport (100E) is only 3 minutes away. There is a supermarket (Spar) just next to the hostel. Our room, a quadruple room for 2 persons is certainly spacious ,and clean . The cleanliness of the bathroom can be better and is acceptable considering this is an old refurbished property. A set of keys were given, you need to pass through 4 doors with the keys given, totally secured in this sometimes doggy area. The is kitchen with tea/ coffee provided and a living area to hang out. The balcony at the living area provides the view of the main street below. Some noise can be heard at night but not too disturbing especially to a "light sleeper " like me. ||The staffs were responsive to all my inquiries and the check in is...
