Leo Boutique,
As an avid traveler I do rely on reviews so I felt deceived. This is my honest experience.
The location of the hotel is prime however we did find it rather deceiving. The building is residential as stated however not aesthetically pleasing.
The hostess are very pleasant, with charming personalities and great recommendations.
Our final thoughts are the following: Key pads sometimes get jammed and residents arent very pleasant. Our experience from residents was rather rude and could tell we were insulted in hungarian language. Residents arent very welcoming. Please come up with a solution as to when key pad gets jammed, how to reset it.
Room 206: Extremely hard bed. Felt like concrete Extremely flat pillows. Sleep was impossible Shower door should open inside the shower. Water splashes out and bath mat gets caught. Sewage smell in bathroom was disturbing and constant. Curtain was made too small and sunlight peaks through Laundry service is not an option but listef in website. The nearest laundrymat was 30 min walk. Not ideal when you need to wash 4 loads. Update your website or simply remove it. If others travel like us this is very inconvenient. Our vacations last 8 weeks. Room 206 hears every guest entering and exiting as well as people speaking in entry lobby. See pic, rok 206 was one step away from desk. Room 206 with bathroom incl was no larger than 200 sq ft. Pretty tight. Safe never worked, in fact it had to be unlocked with master key.
Lastly, residents above room 206 run all day and night and can be clearly heard.
I think we would consider staying at Leo again but not in room 206 or any other room near the lobby area. Def the largest room only.
Wifi is great and coffee too. Hair dryer is great and having netflix, especially for those jet lagged travelers up in the middle of the...
Read moreWhen you arrive at the location you will find a big wooden door to enter the Residential building, then on the wall a sign which says Leo Boutique rooms. Unfortunately you can not enter !!! You need a code which we were never given so we struggled and had to call the so called hotel forcthem to give us that code. Once you enter the residential corridor you need to take tge correct door ( it is dark) and enter the code again. Once the 2nd door is open you need to climb approx 10 steps staircase to reach the elevator. Then you press the first floor ( which in fact is level 2) . Once out of the elevator you need to look for that hidden hotel on your left by opening another door which lead to a Courtyard, walk a few meters and eventually find the door to the reception. We then checked in, were given the key and open our room door to find the room still dirty with the housekeeping lady sitting and relaxing on the sofa :). We then went back to the reception to store our luggage till the ‘ relaxed housekeeper ‘decide to work and clean the room. ||The superior room we booked is in fact pretty good, spacious, view of the main road and building yet not really noisy as very good windows have been installed. The bed was made daily but room not really cleaned ( no floor cleaning etc. , towels only changed on day one out of 4 nights. So to resume the room istelf is pretty good, the housekeeping is not good, reception people are nice. Now if you arrive at night good luck as I did not see anyone at the reception to help you with a code, corridors and all entrances are very dark. Just be aware of all those things before you decide to book and I suggest not to arrive when it is...
Read moreI have a bit mixed feelings about the hotel. The reception works until 9 pm which I knew prior to booking the hotel. I arrived @ 10:30 pm and had to check in through the hotel nearby (Maverick Hotel). It was a quest to find them😅 although I received clear instructions prior to my arrival. Then the girl from the front desk escorted me to the Leo Boutique Hotel and checked in. The room was small, but cozy. And I only had to spend the night there. I really enjoyed the compliment - small bottle of Champagne and a candy. Thank you) The bed and the pillows were amazing😍
However, the acoustic inside is crazy. You basically hear everything what’s going around. It was very hard to sleep as I heard the noise all night. Also, as a solo traveler and a woman, I didn’t feel safe being in the room alone.
I also had some problems with the sink- the water stayed inside and didn’t go fast. And there was a weird and unpleasant odor inside the bathroom.
The hotel is situated in the old historical residential building and has a vintage elevator. So you also need to pay attention to that.
I booked my stay with breakfast included. And it turned out, that breakfast is served in the nearby hotel- Hotel Noble🙄 So that makes it the third hotel in this whole situation. You need to go outdoors, turn left from the building and go across the street. It’s not far - like 2 min walk. The breakfast is buffet plus you can order a meal from the menu. In general, it was tasty. The waitress was very nice and caring.
To cut a long story short, the whole experience was okay. But if you ask me, whether I’d come to stay here again- I would pass and check something with...
