Guesthouse Akureyri — Hotel in Akureyrarbær

Worst hotel noisy stinks||We were happy we stayed for only one night at this horrible hotel. I dont think i can even call one positive aspect!! Wait, its located at the centre..|We had a room at the 2nd Floor on the front. The whole night there was a lot of noise from outside and also the walls are very thin, so you can hear everything... We barely slept that one night.|But the worst of all was the smell in our (bath)room. It was terrible en leaking. We decided to take a shower somewhere else.|The hotel has a very small staircase and no elevator. For us it was no problem, but i can imagine it will be a problem for others. Besides it was a very expensive room. I would not recommend this...

I stayed at the guesthouse with my grandmother and her friend on July 9-13th. We had two rooms, both very cosy, clean and nice. Only thing was in one room there was no place to hang your clothes or any drawers to put them in, other than that everything was very nice. We enjoyed the discount at the bakery downstairs and had breakfast there each morning. The location was perfect, right on the Main Street and close to everything which was nice since I was traveling with 80 year old women. |The price was very good, especially compared to how expensive accommodation can be in Iceland. Would definitely recommend this...

This is a great cheap guesthouse located on the main shopping street in Akureyri.||The rooms are rather large and have large windows facing the street. The beds are old but comfortable and everything is very clean. There is a communal toilet for each floor along with a fully furnished kitchen. There is no elevator but the stairs aren´t too steep. The WiFi was surprisingly good. There are no TVs or radios in the rooms. The staff only spoke english.||The location is the best feature of this guesthouse but because of that you have to park...
