Really, really good vegan and veggie menu. I got the standard hot dog and the volcanic hot dog (I eat a lot) and both were delicious, although I enjoyed the volcanic hot dog immensely.

This is one of the most affordable options for getting food in Akureyri without cooking it yourself.

There was an issue with the card machine while we were there, but the lady just got us to sit down at the picnic tables with our food and popped out a few minutes later when she'd had a moment to restart the card machine. Everything worked then and there...

Way better than any hot dog I ate in Reykjavik. I’m so glad we stopped here. There are plenty of picnic tables to eat at and even a playground directly behind it to keep the kids busy while you eat!

My husband and I had the volcano dog, blue cheese dog, and pic-nik stick dog. All were delicious but the blue cheese dog was the winner. We grabbed a hot dog here as a snack and were impressed by the variety of options - there are 15 different hot dogs to choose from; even some exotic options with potato salad, baked beans or fried eggs are available.
