Lighthouse Apartments — Hotel in Reykjavik

Our stay in Lighthouse apartments was absolutely wonderful. The apartment is quaint, very clean and in the most perfect location. only 5 minute walk from the harbor where all the tourist buses meet and 5 minute walk to the center of the town where all the restaurants and galleries are. The apartment was large about 1500 square feet, and has a nice peaceful calm to it and the owner was very accommodating to our needs. The grocery store is only about 5 minutes away so we could make breakfast and snacks. The apartment is super clean and bright and the beds comfortable. There were only 3 of us but we could of fit 6. We were lucky to find such a gem and happy we didn't stay in one of the overpriced hotels. I would definitely stay here again. The only con I had was that we were on the third floor and the steps were spiral and narrow. It was perfectly fine for me but if you are unable to walk steps request a room on the first floor. Oh and I forgot to mention the building is completely secure with an electronic system to unlock the front door with guests only knowing the code. So...

Our experience here was sublime. We stayed here for two nights right after exploring the island in a motor home. It was the perfect way to unwind after being on the road. Quiet street but very close to shops, restaurants and cafes. Apartment is around the corner from art museum.is which showcases amazing contemporary work.

The ground floor apartment was peaceful, serene and the 4 of us had a really great time. Kitchen is fully equipped and it had coffee percolator machine and cupboard full of spices and other treats. We were comfortable and very happy there. We were very lucky to stay there.

Clean and spacious appartments, fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher). Beds are great and windows have blackout curtains. Shower is amazing (though the hot water sulfur smell seems to be the worst in Reykjavik as far as I've noticed)
