Read moreKalinda has created a buzz in Malad for it's ambiance and food.It is one of the classiest , Sophisticated places to dine in Mumbai. It offers authentic Awadhi and Cantonese dishes.I would say it is more like a date place and also perfect for family munching .It is spacious at the same time with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. The interiors are top notch and I love how they are color cordinated. They have a pretty bar section with extravagant wine collection. The staff is quiet welcoming and warm and quiet well versed with the menu.Servor Vinod made sure he suggested the best things and was on toes to ensure we have a beautiful evening.
As we entered ,We were greeted by the staff and escorted to the table .We were provided scented towels to wash our hands. They offered several accompaninents like khimchi, mint chutney, spicy sauce ,chilli oil and papad as welcome snack. Started with mocktails Kiwi Cooler and Chilly orange.Chilly orange was extremely refreshing and a spicy taste at the same time .Totally loved it.Kiwi Cooler was extremely fresh kiwi juice extracted with amazing taste and also great presentation .You can enjoy the kiwi bites at the end.
We went ahead with Jaituni Murgh Tikka green olive rubbed chicken cooked in Tandoor .It was towards the salty side. The chicken was extremely soft and was melting in mouth with every bite. We also tried Spicy Okra,Aubergine and French Beans quiet impressed with the taste. It is tossed in chilli sauce and amazing taste.Even if somebody doesn't like to have vegetables am sure they will love this . We tried their Chicken Sanghai Dumpling with their several sauces .The taste was superb and extremely lovely. It was tender and flavorful.
Lastly opted for main course,Murgh Bhardari korma chicken leg boneless braised in onion and lazzez masala gravy .We combined it with laccha Paratha and also romali roti in breads.
Lastly we ended our meal with gulab jamun.Extremely soft and lip smacking.Pipping hot gulab jamun can never disappoint you.
At the end, they served us paan shots a good palate cleanser and worth trying. I personally enjoyed every bit of it .The place is worth visiting . They have two separate kitchens for Awadhi and Cantonese and have around 20 chefs. They are extremely sporty and sweet .

The restaurant is spacious with outer and indoor AC section. The Non AC section has nicely done casual ambiance with flowing water and artificial plant. The AC section is more of a fine dine feel with elegant design and bright lights done. Loved the seatings as it was comfortable and nicely arranged.
The menu contains Indian and Cantonese cuisine. Hence the variety available in the menu is amazing with a lot of options to choose from. Prices are at par with similar kind of brands and the quantity served is decent.
I went here for dinner and the place was almost packed. The kitchen service was on time and the table service by Staff Swapnil was excellent as he knew the menu well and he was attentive. Also mentioning the receptionist Manali as she cleared the confusion related to my booking very politely.
What We Had - APPETIZERS~ Jaituni Murgh Tikka - Tandoor grilled juicy chicken chunks nicely marinated with green chilli and olive paste tasted great. Loved the chicken as it was tender and the taste of the olive marinate was rich.
Chicken Shanghai Dumpling - Pan fried dumplings filled with chicken tasted good. The outer layer was not too doughy and the filling was flavourful.
MAINS~ Khade Masale ka Paneer - Huge paneer pieces done in whole spices with the base of tomato and onion gravy tasted delicious. The paneer was fresh and was grilled nicely and the flavours of the gravy was amazing as it didn't had tanginess of the tomatoes. Had this with butter naan and butter roti and felt perfect.
DESSERTS~ Chocolate Bao - Steamed closed bao with chocolate filled tasted amazing. Loved the hot chocolate with the bao.
MOCKTAILS~ Passionfruit Cooler. Watermelon Lemonade - Both the mocktails tasted really good as it was made nicely. Only the passion fruit seeds was annoying in the cooler.
So the meal at Kalinda was perfect from the start to the end as the food plus the service was flawless. Hence do visit as you...
