The Moksha will always have a place in my heart as it was once considered to be a home away from home during my very first visit to Bali but I’m sad to say that I would probably not book here again. The quality and cleanliness of the room, especially the outdoor bathroom has deteriorated through the years.||The outdoor bathroom is in dire need of a deep cleaning and makeover. The tub was extremely dirty that I would not even step in it without my slippers on! The shower walls had mold growing on it and mold was clearly visible on the white shower curtain. It’s just not a good feeling when you’re looking at mold while trying to clean and freshen up! ||There was also mold on the throw pillows in the bedroom! I just threw them on the side and sprayed the couch down with my own concoction of tea tree oil and peppermint. At this point, I was totally disgusted and didn’t mind to tell the staff because we were only staying there for 2 nights and the staff could barely understand anything we said or asked questions about. There was no way I was going to try to explain the presence of mold in our room. ||Overall, the Moksha is a beautiful place. The grounds and pool is maintained on a daily basis and I wish I could say the same about the villa bathroom. Breakfast is mediocre (I remember it being so delicious back when the owner used to cook it) and can be served to you on your villa porch. We only had the free breakfast once and opted out on the other days. They also provide spa services which was not previously avail. They have a random “spa” section in their lobby area which completely throws the vibe off the place but that’s just my opinion. Hope the owners can re-focus some of their energy back into the Moksha as it is truly a special place for a...

Every day I received breakfast menus via WhatsApp and was expected to respond quickly. On our last day, I asked for breakfast at 7:30, but was told it was "fully booked" – even though I had received multiple reminders before. We ended up missing breakfast two out of three days, which was disappointing.
What really bothered me was the constant WhatsApp messages – about cleaning, breakfast, insect treatment, etc. Even though I clearly said I didn’t want room cleaning, they kept asking. It felt more like being managed than being a guest.
On the second day, we found a sign with many strict house rules in the room: no eating or drinking on the bed, damage = payment, etc. It made us feel uncomfortable and watched – especially since they also sent me a photo of a small ink stain on the bed via WhatsApp, although I never noticed making it.
And in the bathroom, we found a huge caterpillar, which really scared my daughter. Staff removed it the next day, but still – not what you want to see in your shower.
Summary: Great breakfast (if you manage to get it), but too much pressure, rules, and messaging. I didn’t feel at ease and wouldn’t...
