Umah Pizza — Restaurant in Bali

Please pay attention to this review, as it was the worst honeymoon meal we’ve had in two weeks across three countries.

Ordered two pizzas here. Both pizzas were tasteless, raw, wet, messy and rushed. We ordered, and the pizzas were brought out to us in under 5 minutes. Now you might think; ‘wow, quick service!’ However, everyone knows pizza is cooked for longer than that in a stone oven.

Had to ask for the two pizzas to be recooked- and they were still raw and wet when received again.

Ordered fresh juices, lemon and orange. Both were diluted down so much that it tasted more like water than the taste meant to be. They also provide a sugar syrup for your ‘fresh’ juice?

The staff looked overworked and were rushing orders and making mistakes. Maybe that’s why they were rude.

I would rather have a frozen or microwave pizza and pasta mug shot than eat here again, waste of a holiday dinner slot.

Also the place was covered in flies, maybe it’s not their fault but it was definitely off putting when eating, maybe some insect repellent or citronella candles in the future.

Save yourself the disappointment, and ignore the positive reviews and read through all the lower/more recent ones!

Notice how each time the restaurant replies- instead of answering kindly and politely and taking constructive criticism, they write a nasty comment back. I guess not shocking from a place like this.

I can provide a photo of my receipt and a photo of my wet pizzas and noticeably diluted...

I have came to this place several times. I'm a local. Food was actually good and with good affordable price. But today i came with a friend, the staffs were not too friendly. I was ignored when i ask is there any table for two. I understand it was busy shift in the weekend. So i waited and ask again is there any free table, another staff pointed an newly empty table, but haven't been cleaned yet. So i took that place first before anyone take them. I waited and waited, no staffs seem going to clean my place. So i ask another staff that we're going to order and ask for menu, also ask to clean the table. She said yes but then running for another errands. Waiting again, and again and again. Again, no staffs were responsive for this. I saw them just passing by my table. I was very dissapointed and losing my patience, my partner ask if i wanted another place, and yes, i had enough and walked away.

Please be more communicative to your customers, let us know if it is going to take a long time if you were too busy/ crowded.

I remember there was always a woman who welcomed us and asked "for how many people" and she will suggest us the table, but not today. Such a simple thing but i guess it is very useful. Such a bad experience for today, i hope you will fix this so it can be more enjoyable to dine in...

HONEST REVIEW:

saw all the comments and wasn't sure what to think, so I went and saw for myself.

Food: We ordered 1 large Ham Pizza 🍕 as a lunch snack to dine-in. We got it in about 10 min in almost empty restaurant. Visually nothing was off, it looked nice, charred as a proper wood-fire pizza should be. Taste was like a proper Italian pizza - thin, crispy bottom and edge, with nicely melted cheese on top. It was not dry, it was not chevy, it was very good!

Ambient: Nice dining experience, pop music playing (Ed Sheeran, SZA, Ava Max ...) you can go up to the oven and watch cooks prepare pizzas.

Staff: Friendly, attentive, but the girl server look as she has given up on life. No smile, which I find very wierd in Indonesia, no energy just meh. That is why 4 stars.

Additional (edited) information: came back 2 days later for another time, she was very cheerful, so maybe just a bad day 😊😉

Price: 1x large pizza + 1x Large Bintang = 133k

Overall rating: 4.6/5 would recommend if you are looking for a good pizza...
