IKIGAI UBUD — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

As a vegetarian, I found only one main dish option, the veggie roll, it was so delicious that I ended up ordering a second plate! Absolutely tasty. The lychee juice was refreshing.

The place is cozy and peaceful, with large glass windows overlooking the street and surrounding trees. I can imagine how beautiful the view would be when it rains. They also have an outdoor seating area, an indoor air-conditioned space, and a nice open rooftop — perfect for watching the sunset and enjoying the breeze.

Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restroom was impressively clean, unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere in Bali.

It’s a quiet spot, great for working on your laptop or recharge your soul.

Although the vegan options are limited, I’ll definitely will visit again for their tasty drinks.

Let’s start we the food, all right the food was really tasty and really well presented, we got a dragon roll and a salmon fried spicy roll really well done, one chicken teriyaki and one chicken katsu curry very and one chicken gyoza and there were really good as well, But we been lucky because we arrived around 7.30pm so not many people and we got everything in like 1 and half hour so pretty slow, considering that lots of dishes were left next to the bar waiting I don’t know what. I notice in Bali/indonesia general the service it’s pretty much everywhere like that they are really calm talking with the food on the bench waiting who knows what. Who arrived after us maybe is still waiting so overall for us...

My favorite restaurant from my one week stay in Ubud. The ambience in the evening was so serene, beautiful and comfortable. I sat on the upholstered seating section and felt like I was at home on a cozy comfy couch. The staff were all so friendly and chatty which is appreciated when dining alone. The sushi was so fresh and delicious and the volcano roll was a standout item. I did see another review that mentioned this, the rice does fall apart quite easily, making the sushi difficult to eat but it doesn’t detract from the taste. The wine I ordered, was good enough, but a very small glass - perhaps they are more heavy handed in South Africa 😂 All in all, I look forward to returning on...
