Puji Bungalows & Hostel — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Unfortunately I wouldn’t return here unless problems were fixed but I can’t see that happening. Our room of mixed 8 was consistently boiling, we were all dripping wet and poorly and the a/c in our room was tiny and barely making a difference. The toilet with a shower in it absolutely stank, I mean I’ve never smelt anything like it. But over the duration of our stay it was horrific and it never faded. It made it unbearable to use it. The lockers were available in the room but they only really fit day bag size backpacks not suitcases or big luggage bags. Staff seemed alright. What I did like was outside our room there was a table and bench sofa you could use. And location is good to the shops / restaurants. However with that being said it is very noisy, you can hear everything. The doors to the hostel room don’t lock from outside so not much security, and the wifi doesn’t work, as well as the plug next to my bed on the top bunk doesn’t work at all. The bunk beds in our dorm seem really unstable, people were getting motion sickness and it makes it really hard when you’re trying not to wake someone up. All in all I...

Stayed here for a few nights and it was alright. The staff themselves were wonderfully and super helpful and the pool was perfect! The only downside was the rooms. There was no way to close the bedroom doors from the outside. Only from the inside so it made security very weak, although there were lockers in the room but not big enough for a bag. The sheets were slightly outdated and kind of gross to sleep on. One of the bunk beds cut more than 2/3 of the entrance to the bathroom door off which made it very tricky to get in there without waking up the person on that bunk. The bathroom layout was horrible with the shower being part of the main area and then the toilet had its separate door, so if someone wanted to shower no one else could use the toilet. Stayed here for 4 nights while exploring Ubud and surrounding areas. The location is excellent, the rooms are okay and the bathrooms are of decent size. The toilet in our dorm was blocked from the moment I checked in so it was essentially unusable and had to go to the breakfast area toilets to use those. The beds have their own sockets and light and they come with curtains for more privacy. The rooms/beds themselves are very noise prone. My mattress was so old that the hole in the middle of the mattress you felt the wood through that the mattress is placed upon.

They have options for using towels and changing them daily if you want and the pool is a nice area to hang out at. Rooms have good functioning air conditioning and lockers for each bed.
