We ended up extending our pre booked stay at Sari Villa twice, as it is just so handy location wise in terms of the traffic loop jams in centre centre Ubud, close to Bintang Supermarket, nice cafes and restaurants further up the road, hotel like light, clean rooms with writing desk/sideboard, cute outdoor shower option, as well as bath, shower over bath enclosed as well. Had the usual amenities, such a kettle, tea n' coffee which is handy and the wide paved lane from which rooms are off, is great as low chance of tripping up due to uneven steps, or uneven ground etc. Felt like walking down a quiet lane somewhere in Italy with trees left and right, and at end of lane is swimming pool at the rear. The breakfast buffet was substantial, had croissants, mini muffins, fresh fruit, yoghurt, basic cereal options, tea/coffee egg chef, and a good range of warmed cooked opens in bainmarie self service to suit all tastes, noodle dishes, chicken, potato hash browns, shrimp chips, and they did chop and change the hot breakfast meal options as we stayed quite some time at Sari Villa Ubud, so was good to experience that. Loved the large open plan lobby, lounge area, nice to sit there at night. there is no restaurant during the day, only breakfast served to let you know but there are so many eateries in Ubud. Great for families, groups, couples etc. quiet at nights even though Villa Sari Ubud is off a main road, it has a large off street carpark area which is a bonus in Bali, and set back from that. We can highly recommend Sari Villa Ubud for price point for value, friendly staff, great cleaning staff, and if you are looking for a hotel style accommodation at affordable value. Ideal spot if you need a place to get some computer work done in your room, as room is light interiors, reasonably good lighting, and also we loved the light duvets ( much better than a bedspread). Laundry services walking distance down the road, or then can give to hotel to get organised but that option costs more, still super affordable compared to...
Read moreThough I would try out a new venue.... Many things going wrong and a lack of attention to dealing with these or follow up by management despite attempts to speak with them to rectify, led to a not so positive experience. Staff levels need increasing and require further training and support. Breakfast slow to arrive and dishes dirty etc as not enough to go around. Room not ready on arrival then air conditioner not working. Booked and payed for deluxe family room but then they tried to downgrade room (without offering a price adjustment even) as they had obviously overbooked. Management didn't seem to care as long as they had guest money (and are not based on site). I have now waited a month for them to reply/respond to discuss my experience as i was willing to help (I am a hospitality educator/consultant whinwasbtraveling for industry events) Considering there are so many beautiful places to stay in Ubud they will need to lift their game! Is a shame as plenty of...
Read moreExceed my expectation. With such value for money, I set my hope not too high. At entering the room, the smell of old furniture dominated. But gradually yiu will get used to it. The room was big enough with bed for 3. It has bathtub. And since they upgraded us to deluxe, which is on the ground flood, we have outdoor shower as well, which was convenient when there are 2 people need to shower after swimming. The bed sheet and towels are in good shape and smell, compared to some new accomodations we rent previously. Breakfast are included in the price. While the selections are not that wide, it was more than enough to start your day healthyly. Location wise, it was very convenient. About 500m from where the campuhan trekking path started. And next to big Bintang Supermarket. First I wanted to give 4 stars for the old room, but the water dispenser and microwave at the front dining room is really thoughtful of them. Which make me press 5 stars. Thank...
