Wonderfully appointed guest house on the edge of the old town area. As per the description it lies around 20 minutes walk from the train station or €15, 7 minute taxi ride. ||We arrived around 4pm having been sent the codes to access the exterior doors and internal access. All worked like clockwork. Classic continental lift greeted us which was fabulous to see & use. ||We did have an issue upon arrival and as per description, there were no staff on site. However, they answered our WhatsApp message immediately and we resolved the matter sufficiently to allow full resolution the next morning. They even sent us recommendations for local restaurants & bars for that evening - helpful touch. ||Nicola met us & took us through breakfast the following morning. The breakfast we had for our 3 day stay was incredible & delicious as per photos. Nicola then finally sorted our issue and provided us with a map and a host of tips & recommendations for our stay, which proved invaluable. ||We would highly recommend staying here as our room (Vasari) - probably one of the smaller rooms, was well equipped - air conditioning, fridge (complimentary water - daily), safe, tv, USB charging points, walk in shower, & hairdryer. The bed was large and...
Read moreVery glad to have found Terra Artis after trawling through hundreds of properties to book in Florence. Very reasonably priced for a busy month in Florence and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The staff are extremely friendly and the instructions on how to find and access the property are easy to follow. Our room was ready slightly early so was perfect for us to unpack before heading out. Only thing I would say is that if you get the Tram from the airport (easiest transport ever) please don’t get off at the train station as advised, there is a new route that takes you all the way to the guest house pretty much (stop is called LAVAGNINI POLIZIANO). Continental breakfast was brilliant every morning and filled us up for most of the day with the coffee tasting excellent. The guest house is around 15-20 mins walk from the main attractions however it’s very flat ground and easy to walk, even if you are unfit like myself. Would I recommend Terra Artis guest house, 100%!! Will definitely return in the future, thanks all the team for making it...
Read moreWe couldn’t fault this lovely guest house as the owners appear to have thought of everything and taken such care over it. It sits in a traditional apartment block, full of character and accessed via grand wooden doors and marble steps. The high-ceilinged bedrooms are modern and comfortable - we opted for a very slightly larger room with a sofa, which we appreciated, but all look similarly high-standard. There is also a communal sitting area with tea and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast was ideal for us and included a selection of yoghurts, cake, fruit, ham and cheeses but also different breads and cooked eggs and drink choices. The location of the guest house was also excellent. I had worried (unnecessarily it turns out) that it might be a little far out of Florence centre but it is an easy walk to anywhere and has the advantage of sitting in a quieter area, with some of the best restaurants being just...
