Where to Stay: We travelled as a family of four (6 and 10 yr olds) and stayed at the No 9 Colosseo Suites @no9colosseo for an in-room view of the Colosseum. We booked 2 nights. Small fridge, A\C, and Wi-Fi. Offers rooms for couples or families. Where to Eat: Just a block away from our suite is Hostaria Al Gladitore which is open lunch and dinner. Across the street from this restaurant is Supermercato Carrefour Express market if you need water, wine, or groceries to keep costs down. Photoshoot Day: Walk to Via de Verbiti at sunrise. After your epic shot, walk along the uphill Via Nicola Salvi and take photos along the way. Most of what you see on Instagram is along this route. Later in the Day: We booked a walking tour through the Palatine Hill, Roman Forum and Colosseum with Viator for 50 euros each! Great photo spots for Instagram. Be prepared to walk a lot (3hrs.) and come during shoulder seasons for the best time. Pro Tip: order a pizza the night before at Hostaria Al Gladitore and bring the box for a cute pizza photo in front of the Colosseum! SAVE FOR LATER ladies! .
