The experience staying at the Piazza di Spagna View guest house was just wonderful. Tucked away up a beautiful marble staircase on the fourth floor of a lovely historic building the guest house is basically a hallway located behind an classic ornate door. Unlocking the door with the skeleton-style key felt like opening a secure bank vault as each turn opened a part of the lock. The location was just perfect for walking around historic old Rome and the view from the room looked directly out on to the Spanish Steps. Staff was friendly and helpful - this property is meant to be more of a self-service guest house than a full service hotel which suited our style just fine and made us feel more like locals...
Read moreThe location is excellent, and the rooms are decorated very nicely. It's a bit tight within the room, but the point of being in central Rome isn't to spend time in your hotel. This is a great staging point for exploring the city. The hotel is literally two doors away from the metro exit, and you are just a few doors down from the Spanish Steps. You're also close to many shops and restaurants, and steps away from the Via Condotti. Crowds get thick at the Spanish Steps every night, and usually during the day as well. So be aware of that. We have a lovely View from our window of the steps, and the beautiful piazza. Bathroom modern with ammeneties. Service was excellent, truly excellent ! Did I mention very reasonably priced?!
