Extremely Disappointing and Disrespectful Service
My parents and I visited this place less than an hour ago and were deeply disappointed by the service. From the moment we arrived, we were completely ignored by the worker, even though there was only one customer being served at the time and no one else was waiting. Despite this, the worker refused to acknowledge or greet us. As the place began to fill up, we were continuously overlooked in favor of customers who arrived after us, with the worker serving those on our left and our right while completely ignoring us.
When another worker (wearing black glasses) approached to take our order, we started to speak with her, but she was immediately told by the same worker who had been ignoring us to go do something else. We are not sure if this treatment was due to us being Arab or wearing hijabs. We feel very disrespected.
This experience was completely unacceptable, and we will not be returning. We also advise other hijabi women and Arab customers to be cautious about visiting, as we would not want anyone else to face similar treatment.

Read moreWe had 5 days in Rome and stayed in the Spanish Steps area just around the corner from I'll Gianfornaio. It quickly became our go-to spot each day for an amazing breakfast! The food options were many, plentiful, and very delicious! The fresh fruit juices were great and the coffee was fantastic! The staff were friendly and engaging, and it was obvious to us that it had a strong regular clientele that came in each day! We also loved that they actively demonstrated a positive stand on sustainability and fresh produce. Another restaurant with a strong social conscience; well done! If you're in Rome and near the Spanish Steps looking for a great place for a bite to eat, a great coffee or fresh juice, then this place is well worth a visit! Highly...
Read moreDo not recommend. Preface: Iâm never a complicated customer, I donât order custom stuff, I try to make staffâs life easy.
Took off 3 stars for the following: Breakfast and lunch hours are unclear. The waiter claims the breakfast is over yet lunch is not ready. So when and what do we eat? Rude staff - the waiter, the person heating the food, and the person at the counter all acted rude - would not answer basic questions, got agitated when asked âwhere do I order food?â, clearly showed dissatisfaction, threw me the card reader. There was a CLEAR bias against visitors/tourists because I watched the staff serve locals very differently. Pizza quality is just OK - definitely had better pizza at lower rated places in Rome and other...
