We stayed in a well sized room to sleep 3 (with a large sofa bed). Very nicely decorated and use of space. Very very comfortable king bed (and sofa bed). The bathroom was a good size with a fabulous large shower - very useful as we stayed in the midst of a heatwave in July. Certainly made use of shower to cool down and freshen up several times a day. A small balcony with table and chairs was handy in the cool of the morning to sit and have a coffee before it got too hot. Air con was a necessity in the heat of the summer. ||Amenities specified all on hand and on the occasion of returning and finding WiFi not working - a message to the contact number had a near immediate response and rectified the problem. The only very minor suggestion I would make - purely when due to heat we spent a little bit more time in the room then planned, we only found two news channels on the tv that were English. Obviously you don’t intend to spend a lot of time in your hotel room when visiting a busy city like Rome. But when you are there and resting it would be nice to be able to have another English speaking channel that was an alternative to European news. ||All areas, room, bathroom, reception/hall are all kept exceptionally clean and fresh. Cannot fault the cleanliness and level of housekeeping each day. ||The rooms are on the 5th floor of a building just opposite the Ministry of Defence build (I believe) - for orientation. And although with a reception - this is not manned 24 hours a day, but that was not a problem. The staff who attended were all very welcoming and helpful. ||Location was great. A five minute walk along from the Spanish Steps & just 15 minute walk from the main train/bus terminal. A nice find and although not a full on traditional hotel the rooms & service were very good. I would happily...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights on our trip to Rome. Francesco was very friendly and helpful to us. Showing us good routes on how to maximise our time in Rome and see all the sights. The amenities were great. Our room had a small balcony which was lovely. Beds were very comfortable and good quality bed linen/pillows. Room and bathroom were modern. Good hairdryer to use if required. Only aspect we didn't hugely love was that there isn't always a member of staff present and the main door at the main road was broken so was a little unsettling when in a new city. We also couldn't leave our bags due to this as the staff were leaving 5 hours before we were leaving for the airport. It's in a great location - only 10 minutes from the Trevi Fountain. Great guesthouse in a...
Read moreRelais Quattro Fontane is a phenomenal place to stay in Rome. It is not necessarily in one of the most "popular" areas of town however it is located on a quite street and still relatively walkable for active individuals. The room itself was very clean and we enjoyed having the balcony. It is located inside of an apartment type of building and there is an elevator which takes you to the 5th floor. There are plenty of restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. The collosseum was approximately a 20 minute walk, and spanish steps about 10 minutes. We did choose to take an uber to get to Vatican City as it appears to be a 40-50 minute walk and we were set to be there at 0600. The nearest public transportation is about 10...
