Do yourself a favour and do not book this place. Nightmare stay. ||||The only advantage of this hotel was its location (2 minutes from the Spanish steps). Other than that, it was absolutely stressful staying here. ||||If I could give a rating less than 1, I would. ||||1. There was never anyone at the reception; there is a “reception” but there is never anyone there. That means when we arrived at 1pm in the afternoon we were left outside in Via Gregoriana and there was no one there to let us into the complex. After waiting for a minimum of 30 minutes a resident from one of the houses inside the complex came out and let us in. 30 minutes later we received a text message telling us which room to enter and so we did. The fact that there was no reception, meant that the following morning we were woken up at 8:30am by other visitors trying to get into the building. ||2. The hotel is mis-advertised. It is at best 7 tiny apartments in the basement with poor ventilation. It has multiple sets of stairs and it is not suitable for anyone with luggage.||3. The door of the bathroom was broken with no handle and you couldn’t easily close or open it. I cut myself twice trying to exit the bathroom.||4. The internet was a joke. It wasn’t working at all during the 2 days we stayed there. I had to pay $10 a day to use the data on my phone, and even that did not work because we were in a basement. We couldn’t even access enough internet to book another hotel to leave this horror.||5. Given that the room was underground there was very poor ventilation, and it was hot and humid. I didn’t sleep a wink because I couldn’t breathe at night. ||6. We paid for 3 people and they provided towels and shampoos for 2 people||7. Because there’s no reception we couldn’t ask anyone to call a taxi for us to get to the airport. We stood in the street and waited for a while before going to another hotel, a proper hotel down the street and asking them to call a taxi for us||||Bottom line: this place was awful, and it ruined an otherwise wonderful...
Read moreGreat location - just a few meters from the Spanish Steps and a 10 min walk from the Trevi Fountain. We recommend get the Metro to Spagna if travelling from the airport by train or bus.
Tucked away at the bottom of an apartment building - this hotel was very unusual, and although it felt a bit like you were staying in a basement the upside to this meant that it was very quiet at night, no busy road with a constant stream of mopeds wizzing past!
Our room - was a good size, but clean, with a quirky bathroom.
Couple of downsides to this hotel:
Reception - There is only someone on the reception from (i think) 10 until 3.. as we were out from early in the morning until late afternoon or early evening, we never got to speak to anyone to ask questions and other advice.
WiFI - only a small gripe that the signal was very weak.
So all in all, the hotel is pretty good value for money and in an excellent location! If you just looking for a clean place to rest your head after a busy day exploring Rome, this will more than suffice! :)

Read moreBooked through agoda. Came via taxi, the place is a little hidden. No big sign in regards to its name, theirs a door that says the hotel name. Several steps to the location, it seems like theirs a community downs before you get to door of the hotel. I was greedy by Jay, Very nice man. Carried our luggages down the steps. Informed us of everything we needed to know. He is normally there from 9AM to 9PM. You get a set of sets for 3 doors including your room door. Although you can unlock the first door (gate) then 2nd (door to the place) with codes. The room it self is good, did not need much space, if you have kids, i think it would be crowded. At night there is NOISE that might upset some but it didnt bother me. The rooms tend to get warm but opening up the window no problem. The location is good, RIGHT next to the spanish steps. I...
