We stayed in Santa Marta Rooms for two nights and had a fantastic experience! I would highly recommend it and we would love to be back!
The property is ideally located right in the heart of Vernazza, with the station 1 min away and the water less than a 5 min walk along the main street.
The room itself was really nice -- very clean and modern, and indeed even nicer than it looks in the pictures! The bed was very comfortable, the WiFi, TV, AC all worked great, and the bathroom was well-designed and well-equipped. Our room also included a cute terrace with a table and chairs overlooking Vernazza's main street as well as some of the hills just beyond the town.
Finally, a huge shout out to our host Alessandro -- he was extremely kind and courteous throughout our trip, answering our questions, providing valuable tips, and helping our stay become extremely comfortable...

The shower pressure on the handheld shower is amazing!

Secondly, for people with limited mobility or heavy baggage the steps up to the apartment may be considered by some to be steep and narrow.
Overall, if you are looking for a place that is centrally located, that is clean, bright, has a balcony, and easy check-in and check out this AirBnB style...
Read moreThis is an updated suite located in an ancient building on the steep hills of Vernazza. It is a few hundred feet from the train station and our host met us at the door. We had a two bedroom suite and it was fully updated. We loved Vernazza and our host give us lots of tips. We took the ferry to the other towns, which I recommend since the trains get very crowded. The windows are nicely insulated so you do not hear any of the street noise. Just note it is located on the top floor of the building so it is a steep climb up three flights of stairs. Vernazza is located on a steep hill so I am sure all the building are like that. The host was gracious and helped carry all four of our bags to our room when we check in and back down when we...
