The room was dusty. There was a layer of dust at the bed headboard - charging area. The bathroom was mouldy. A disappointment as I thought the Japanese had a high standard of cleanliness.
There's no wardrobe to keep your clothing. Just 1 small horizontal hanger rack on each side of the room. 2 in total. Not enough when u have 3 or 4 people in this room for 4.
Even though a washing machine is provided, there was no dryer nor were there sufficient space to hang the damp clothing.
Other than the beds, there's no space to rest to have a drink.
We rented 2 different rooms over a period. The 1st room did not even have a table for a drink or a simple snack.
The common area had no dining area too. Basically, it's difficult to bring food back. It's pointless to have a kitchenette with tableware but no table to dine.
The location was fantastic, though. It's within walking distance to the Kuromon Market, train stations and the malls.
The cleaning service was provided by 2 Chinese cleaners, saw them while on our way out one day.
Not suitable for family with young children or for people that needed special diet. While u maybe able to cook, it's difficult...
Read moreWe stayed in two different rooms. First one, deluxe room and second the executive suite. Both v clean and comfortable. Do note executive room is in another building from the main hotel with the front desk. It is made up of three storeys. So if u have difficulty climbing stairs and plenty of luggage, this might not be a suitable room. The main bedroom is on the second level and living area on the third. Toilet is on ground level. I'd much prefer the deluxe room though it is more suited if there are two of you. Can't fault the layout. Good use of limited space. Beds v comfortable though pillows are flat. Usb cable for phone is provided together with a smart phone you can take along with you when you go out. There is a coffee machine in the lobby where you can get your coffee fix anytime! Extra towels are provided just at the front desk if you need a change of towels anytime. The kuromon market is just nearby- plenty of food! Hotel is about a 10-minute walk to namba station. And before I forget, kudos to the staff- friendly and helpful! They will go out of their way to make your stay a...
Read moreFound this hotel with good reviews on booking.com. It is a new hotel that is located close to the end of Kuromon market if u are arriving at nippombashi station. There was no breakfast at the hotel so Everyday, we passed by the market to have brunch there. We were spoilt for choice with the variety of seafood and beef available at the market. The hotel room has a microwave oven to heat up the food, fridge & importantly a washing machine that allows one to travel light. We could help ourselves to the coffee and tea from the vending machine at the lobby before setting off for sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Overall, found the hotel to be cosy and clean. We had a peaceful stay, despite being so near the popular market. Location wise, we took 30 mins to universal studio, less than 30 mins to Osaka castle. We used “transit maps” apps to navigate the complex transport lines. We could move around nippombashi station or Namba station, which are connected via Namba walk- an underground shopping street. Important to beat the...
