This is the very very very best dorm hotel I have ever experienced. The location maybe quite bit confusing for you as first timer going here. But still super accessible by any vehicle or even walk.
This in asakusa area, Tokyo, Japan. The staff all very good in English even they are pure Japanese. The way they served us very very polite, full of smile and super patient. They night staff also very welcome.
The process for check in not complicated just show your booking code, give ur passport for verification and sign some paper digitally and done.
After that they will inform you with some hotel rules also how you to use ur card room in many multi function way. The check in time 3 Pm the check out time 10 Am. So if you come to fast for sure you can not check in early especially when they are fully booked. So better go somewhere while you waiting for check in and just put ur luggages in their concierge. My experience I went to asakusa area and its adorable. I almost forgot I have spend times hours there.
When you already check in they will assist you to your room and give you like super mini tour about the hotel and their facilities. Male area mostly in 2nd level.
In the room (especially my room) there is 12 boxes for 12 Male Guests. The box so big so don't worry if you are quite big body or you are so tall it can fit your comfortableness. Under ur bed they have super spacious space for 1 luggage. My luggages size 28inch quite big right but it still have more space in it. If you have more then one luggages the rest you can put outside the room in the corridor area (see the picture).
They provides you with towel, face towel, a tooth paste and tooth bruse also sandals. Those things will be change and they give the new one every morning. So just put the used one in front of your bed box. Or for towel if you finished just put the used towel in the used towel box in the shower room.
The shower room area also amazing, start with sink area where you can do ur personal activity like just for wash hand, shaving, dry ur hair, and many more. In that area they provides you with 1 time use of comb, razor and toothbrush toothpaste also a small paper cup glass if you need if for gargle.
Then after that you will meet the washing machine area for you who need to laundry everyday. Just put some coins to use it. For sure Japanese coins money. (See my picture)
Then is the shower room, well in male area, they have 4 shower room and inside each of it they provide, hair shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash liquid for you who maybe not bring your own stuff kind of things. It's refillable when it empty everyday.
Next room is lavatory area they have 4 rooms that can be use electrically. Also 1 sink area.
All the restrooms area super clean, white lighting, so everything is clearly visible.
Now we move to the multifunction area in the same level of the male bedroom area. You can just sit and relaxing there, do your own thing and enjoy the refreshment they give for you for free (coffee, hot cold normal water, the cups for every of it, sugar, microwave you can use). They also have small refrigerator in the area where you can put your frozen foods or beverages in it but with some rules you need to follow.
In this area well yess you can meet will all guests male and female from many countries. If they welcome enough, you can have a talk with them. Quite nice for you who travel alone so at least you have person to talk too.
If you want to go out in the midnight until morning, do not worry just use ur card key it can help you many way to enter the building when you back.
But a few things I need to remind you : please do not smoking or vaping inside the building hotel where ever is it or you will get so much trouble with the hotel management. 2.then please be polite with the hotel staff of crew coz once again they also human so do not be rude at all and do not treat them like your maid. do not make any big noises at all. For the comfort other guests in...

The staffs are very friendly and kind, you don't have to struggle much in communicating with them since they are fluent in English. The check-in process is simple and does not require a lot of time, you only have to show your booking proof and passport. Got a little welcoming souvenir that I still keep until now. The staffs are also helpful in explaining the hotel rules and ready to provide you with as many information as you need. If you come before the check-in time, you can ask the staffs to store your stuff safely. They also have transparent umbrellas that you can borrow for free.
The bedroom is clean, quiet, and comfortable. You can put your luggage under the bed. The shared showers and toilets are clean and provide all you need, e.g. shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, comb, cotton buds, hair straightener, etc. There's also a common room where you can just relax, eat, and make coffee. You can also buy drinks from the vending machine near the bedroom.
The location is great, it is not located in a very busy part of Tokyo, therefore you don't have to worry if you don't like overcrowded places. I didn't find any difficulties in finding it since the direction in Google Maps was clear and easy. It is only a few minutes from Tawaramachi and Asakusa station by walk. Has many interesting places to visit or eat nearby, e.g. Sensoji, Sumida River, Tokyo Skytree, Don Quijote, and some kombinis.
Definitely will come back here when I visit...
Read moreI almost want to keep this place a secret but I’m posting this review in hopes that they’ll open up more branches!
I was staying solo at a business hotel, but when I decided to extend my stay in Tokyo for another week, I thought I’d try capsules for the first time. After looking at a number of places, I kept coming back to Resol. The idea of climbing into the top bunk bed or someone climbing above mine wasn’t appealing to me. Enter Resol Poshtel.
For me, cleanliness and value is at the top of my list over TV or privacy. Resol is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed at. They clean the shared facilities in the morning and then again at midnight.
I call it a capsule ryokan because while you have to share the bathroom and toilets, you get your own space. I was able to store 1 big check-in luggage, 1 cabin/carry-on luggage, with space for paper bags from shopping, right under my bed. The safe as also big enough to store my iPad and Macbook.
It’s 6 minutes away from Tawaramachi Station and about 10 minutes away (or a ~1000 yen cab ride) to Asakusa Station for the direct train to Narita.
The staff are so nice and friendly. They helped me get a taxi to the station, accepted some of my online shopping deliveries, and even refunded me the unused night when I had to check out a day early.
Around it are some highly-rated restaurants and a fun sake shop where you can try sake/do nihonshu tastings. It’s a very short walk to Sensoji and Nakamise shopping districts, as well as Life supermarket and Lawson 100.
Highly recommended for any short term...
