The Matcha Fix 700 Yen for a Single Shot, 900 Yen for a Double Shot Navigating the menu, chuckles ensued at the matcha madness prices—700 yen for a single shot and 900 yen for a double shot. Yet, oh, was it worth it!
Creamy Bliss in a Cup The first sip revealed a creamy delight, a warm embrace for taste buds. Whisked to perfection with the chasen, the matcha unleashed flavors that danced on our palates. The creaminess added luxury, making each sip a comforting hug.
Customization at Its Best Adjustable Sugar Levels Opting for the lower sugar level, we were pleasantly surprised by how the sweetness was just right. The balance allowed the natural bitterness of the matcha to shine through without overpowering our taste buds. A customization win at Matcha Stand Maruni!

Read more5 Stars – A Must-Visit Matcha Café in Tsukiji!
If you’re a matcha lover, this hidden gem in Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market is a must-visit! This café specializes in matcha drinks, and you can truly taste the quality in every sip. I ordered matcha without milk and sugar, and it was absolutely amazing—rich, smooth, and packed with umami. The caffeine effect was mellow and long-lasting, which speaks to the high quality of their organically sourced matcha.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. While there are no seats inside the café and no parking available, the experience is still worth it. The standing-only setup fits the vibrant energy of Tsukiji Market, making it a perfect quick stop for a refreshing drink.
One of the highlights was the complimentary mochi they serve alongside the matcha. It was soft, slightly sweet from red bean, and paired beautifully with the earthy bitterness of the matcha. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that makes the experience even more special.
If you appreciate authentic matcha, this place is a must-try. Whether you like your matcha pure or in a latte, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back next time...
Read moreI had never been a big matcha latte fan but the matcha latte at this store changed my mind. This was recommended by Tiffycooks so I went to check it out since I was visiting Tsukiji market anyway. There was a line but it moved quickly as the menu is pretty straight forward. Once the order was placed, I waited inside the store for my drink. Their operation ran like a well oiled machine and I didn't have to wait long before my drink was ready. I got the iced matcha latte single shot. On their menu they also offered double shot matcha, soy milk substiutions, soft serve milk ice cream, matcha and hojicha affogato, iced/hot matcha with no milk or sugar as well as straight green tea.
The ratio of matcha, sweetener and milk is perfect I'd say. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to matcha fans! It's been hard to find a matcha latte that matches this...
