What a wonderful experience! I’d definitely recommend Upala if you need your hair cut. The owner, Rie, was so friendly and welcoming, and she really took the time to listen and understand what I wanted. Her English was quite good, and when we needed clarification we used a translation app. I was a little bit nervous about the language barrier at first, but she made me feel totally at ease and I was really happy with the result. The price was also really affordable. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Tokyo😊 Thank you again Rie 🙏🏽

Excellent care taken by a true professional. Walk ins were welcome and I was treated as a regular. I chose a humid wet day to go and was provided with a fan to dry off a bit during the whole haircut. The woman who cut my hair had little issue with the language barrier and as long as you've got pictures of what you want she will recreate it flawlessly. 11/10

As a foreigner who has spent a few days walking around crowded tourists hotspots in Japan, I just needed a quiet day to treat myself. I knew it was time to get a hair cut, and I am so lucky to have found this hair salon as it was a 5 minute walk from my Airbnb/hotel.

The service was impeccable and my hair looks amazing! I feel more confident in my new hairstyle and much more relaxed as well!

I highly recommend this hair salon to anyone...
