I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at this apartment compels me to share a cautionary tale for anyone considering a stay here. As a frequent traveller, I understand that sometimes accommodations can fall short of expectations, but what I encountered here was beyond disappointing; it was unacceptable.
I arrived with modest expectations, having booked an extra day to ensure an early check-in. However, the moment I stepped into the lobby, a pungent odour of stale cigarette smoke assaulted my senses, signalling the beginning of a series of unfortunate discoveries.
The room, which I had hoped would be a sanctuary, was in a deplorable state. Stains of unknown origin marred the bed and sofas, standing as silent testaments to the neglect this room had suffered. The floors, which clearly hadn't seen a vacuum in ages, were littered with debris and dirt.
Hoping for a swift resolution, I alerted the hosts to the condition of the room. It took them a staggering 7 hours to respond – a delay that is as inexplicable as it is inexcusable. When they finally attended to the room, the effort was perfunctory at best. The stains remained, as stubborn as before, and the floors were still untouched by a vacuum cleaner.
The state of the room was not just a superficial issue; it raised serious concerns about the overall hygiene and cleanliness standards of the hotel. The visible dirt and neglect made me question the unseen – the quality of the air, the cleanliness of the linens, and the hygiene in areas like the bathroom and kitchenette.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this place to any traveller, be it for business or leisure. The lack of basic cleanliness, the apparent disregard for guest comfort, and the woeful response to complaints are red flags that cannot be ignored. There are plenty of other accommodations available that respect and value their guests. My advice: look elsewhere and spare yourself the...
Read morePros: The location of the place is 10 minutes walking distance from the KLCC twin Towers. 1 minute away from FamilyMart which is similar to 7eleven. The room is clean and tidy. The customer service is very polite and supportive. I didn't have to follow-up on the refund, the refunded the deposit immediately.
Cons: There is no locker in the room. There is no front desk, reception. The one in the building is not related to 188 suites. This point is not a disadvantage, it just how bnb hotels works. However, if you faced any issue after 10pm you will have to wait until next day morning. The problem I had that the keypad for the door was not responding. So, I couldn't open the door. Thank god it was during their workings hours, they've sent someone to open the door for us after waiting around 20 minutes in aisle ground in front of my room door. One hour later, I was going out, but before leaving I tried to open the door but once again the keypad was not working. I contacted the customer service again and they send the same guy again to open the door. The problem is, if go out and came back after 10pm and the door is locked me and my wife will sleep in the aisle till next day in the morning or stay the in other hotel because there is not customer service or reception or anyone to help. So the upgradedy room and we changed the room, that took an hour and a half. They don't provide luggage storage in the lobby or anywhere. All hotels nowadays have that service. So I had to go the reception in the building that is not related or associated with CoBnb, and asked the to keep my luggage for three hours, and they charged me 50rm for that because I didn't book...
Read moreI live and work in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and I need to do a fair bit of traveling in the region. Recently I traveled to Kuala Lumpur for slightly more than a week. Company put the team up in one hotel to keep everyone together. However, the days I did not stay there, I booked those other days at 188 Suites CoBNB. Straightaway…I will book there again when I travel back to Kuala Lumpur.||First. The location is excellent (at least for me). Very easy walk to Petronas Towers, and all that area in and around the downtown area. Accessible, convenient, yet away from a lot of the crowds. I really like to walk, so this place is an exceptional location for me personally. However, 188 Suites is also located close to metro rail/public transportation, and easy access for Grab.||The hotel rooms and bathrooms are quite large, and include a kitchen and full-size refrigerator. You can easily cook/prepare meals there. The bed, pillows, and duvets are extremely comfortable. Overall, 188 Suites is a very clean and comfortable place. I really did enjoy my stay there.||As many may know, I focus on customer service. 188 Suites customer service levels are high, and they are friendly and responsive. This is a big one for me.||For those traveling to Kuala Lumpur, I highly recommend 188 Suites CoBNB. Whether for business or pleasure, you will like...
