Hotel Star Town Inn — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Also known as - OYO Rooms Hotel Imbi.||||It wasn't a room with a view and articial lights meant I was never sure what time of day it was. However, the room was dead quiet, with no noise from other guests.||||In the hallway I discerned the odd TV and though this might keep me awake, but no. Once inside it's really well built like they used to make hotels. I slept very well.||||No frills here - ageing interior and no kitchen. But I was happy.||||Wi-fi was good but it did fail very late on a Saturday night and was pretty slow on a Sunday evening. The problem was external to the hotel so might be a 'Malaysian thing'.||||Staff were helpful enough. TV - only a few channels, all rubbish local stuff.||||Location - excellent - close to Imbi monorail and the famous Jalan Alor night food street. Also walking distance to many shops and malls in Bukit Bintang, or the bar street and down the hill to Chinatown / Petaling St. You can even walk to the twin towers at KLCC if you want to.||||How to get here from airport? Easy - KLIA (RM 50) or bus (RM 12) to KL Sentral station. From here follow signs for Monorail (Green) and go along a few stops to Imbi. It's very practical...

We ask for a kettle to boil water and was told they DO NOT have it!||We ask for water and told to buy mineral drinking water at RM4 each!||PLEASE TAKE NOTE:||there are NO FREE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE IN THIS HOTEL! ||||NO hair dryer, no fridge, no safe box in the room! ||||ROOM has a bad musty smell with insecticide spray scent. ||BED seem to be full of sustained as our bodies itch so badly after just a night sleep!||TRAILS OF ANTS are found on the floor!||||It's too noisy at night for a good deep sleep as the police station was just opposite this Hotel and located along a main busy road, We can hear cars zooming, bikes screeching and ambulance siren throughout day or night. ||||WIFI is only available at PUBLIC AREA, they claim! and disasterly, the WIFI was temporarily out of Service when We try to connect while at the lobby! ||||We have stayed at numerous budget hotels in Asia, this is the WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD!||||STAY AT...

Sadly their is no option to write a review without a star because honestly, this hotel does not even deserve one. The only good thing I liked in this hotel is that thr lobby is well-lit, other than that it is a total mess. Checking-in even is a long painstaking process that required 4 employees to complete. I made an online booking for it to be easier to check-in but it didn't matter. They are very rude to be working in a hospitality business but they are very excited to get my payment even though they have not answered my inquiries. The room is so dark and dirty and imbued with a pungent odor. I am so disappointed and I just wasted my money in that crap hole.
