I booked a double bed room because I like spacey rooms but they gave me the standard room with a queen bed which has a bit smaller space I'm a solo traveller so I did not complain.
Receptionist is approachable, sure they will serve you every detail and room service requests that you need. But I will not say they are friendly.
According to the receptionist, the walk-in price is 150 RM. If you want to get the rooms at a lower price book by Agoda. Which is what I did.
The room was partially used hours prior when I checked in. It is obvious with the empty water bottles in the bin, the used towel left on the unmade bed.
They did room service and supplied new towels everyday the day after that.
The ambiance of the room is ok and it looks well kept. The design is modern. Shower heater works quickly. AC works.
The fridge in the room where I stayed is not working.
There are bed bugs. So you need to request new bed sheets everyday.
Hotel interior is decent. Hall ways are wide enough. Elevators are wide enough. The lobby is spacious.
For a studio room worth 110 RM (excluding the daily 10 RM tourist tax everyday), you will expect a room with a decent space and at least a decent window view.
I was told that if I want a room with a decent view then I should book the family room.
For the price point, considering its location, I think it is expensive. Budget hotels are all over Pudu.
The now closed Ancasa Express has bigger decent rooms and nicer window views for below 100 RM per night.
Sure Hotel Transit will say that the quality of their room is better, which is not a lie.
And let's face it, the neighborhood where this hotel is standing is not that safe and tidy.
If you are in KL for a short stay and you are looking for a mid range budget sustainable hotel, this is for you.
Although you can find a decent hotel in decent locations remote to KLCC for just a...
Read moreI read the reviews and I didn’t think it’s so bad. In short, hotel is too old for the ac non functioning, the worst is the receptionists are unbelievably terrible, not helping when you have problems with the room.
Details: I checked in at 2pm plus, welcomed with ‘dark faces’. Lobby ac isn’t really working. Went up to my room and the ac wasn’t working after I waited for half and hour and sweated in the room. Went down to reception asked for room changing. ‘Let me check first’ was their reply. Waited and sweated with barely functioning ac at lobby, for almost an hour, only the maintenance guy came. While waiting I requested for room changing instead of wasting my time, ‘our other rooms might not be cleaned yet’ was the reply.
Went up with maintenance guy to the room, I ‘watched’ him stepped all over the cleaned room with his shoes on, then opened up the ladder and started to fix the ac in the ceiling. I sat there for 15 mins and started to question the reason I paid for the stay, ‘to watch them fix their ac?’ So I went down to receptionist, The receptionist just now (without uniform on) busy with check ins for guests, I waited at counter, insisted to change room repeatedly. His reply ‘if you wanna change room you have to bring your luggage down to lobby and wait for new room’ I didn’t have any choice but agreed to it. So we moved our stuff down to lobby then back up to the new room again. I checked in at 2pm plus but finally got ‘peaceful’ in my room at 530pm..after 6hours drive to their hotel, for vacation purpose.
Lastly, hotel can be old, ac can be malfunctioning, but receptionists can’t be not helping when problems arise. This way of problem handlings...
Read moreThe room is reasonably clean, although there is cigarette smell in the air albeit being a non-smoking room. It reminds me of a snooker room.Location is excellent, walkable to touristy area such as Jalan Alor and Bukit Bintang district. Near public transport as well.Service is subpar or as budget airline likes to say “fuss-free”. Check in process is moderately slow. The staff is not there to welcome you, no warm welcome or all those things nicety you would expect from better hotels. But they are not rude just transactional. Asked to check the hot water in the room, the staff agreed but no follow up, it is not fixed. It is an old building, with ineffective (or non-existent) sound-proof. It is located near a busy road with traffic 24-7, so expect to be disturbed, and avoid this hotel you are a light-sleeper like myself. The hot water is not working 24-7 despite promised. But the flip side is that you get to be awaken by the chilled shower, shivering and doubting your life decision and hating yourself for choosing the hotel just to save a few bucks, a perfect way to start your day in this very hot city. Don’t even bother to ask the staff to fix it, because they won’t (i asked). TV is not working, but that’s okay because who needs it anyway, its quite cool to have a non-working brick in the room, i guess. For this to be rated 8 (at the point of my booking) makes me highly doubt trip.com rating system. If you don’t mind the cold shower, cigarette smell, traffic noise, unbothered staff you will find this hotel...
