Moonway Luxury Suites At Eaton Residence KLCC — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Moonway Luxury Suites, a set of floors hidden inside the impressive Eton’s Residence tower in the city center. Finding it takes a bit of persistence—the building is primarily Eton’s Residence, home to permanent residents, while a few select floors (no one seems to know exactly how many) are operated as the boutique-style Moonway Luxury Suites.

We stayed on the 47th floor, with the showpiece just four levels above: a fantastic infinity pool on the 51st. From there the city unfolds in every direction, with the iconic Petronas Towers glowing both day and night. The pool stays open until 10 p.m., perfect for watching the skyline sparkle after sunset.

Because the property is mostly residential, classic hotel services are limited, there’s no breakfast and some shared areas are off-limits to short-term guests. Our suite was modern and comfortable, but here’s an important tip: when you book, make sure your room is not next to the lift. The high-speed elevator rockets up and down with a surprising amount of noise. After a long flight and heavy jet lag we slept through it, but it could easily become a nuisance if you’re a light sleeper.

Despite those quirks and the slightly confusing entrance, Moonway Luxury Suites gave us a memorable start to Kuala Lumpur. That rooftop pool and its sweeping Petronas view made every bit of the hunt—and the need for a careful room...

We had an excellent stay at Moonway Suites. Our apartment was clean and well appointed. The rooms were spacious and had some lovely views. The host was very attentive. I would advise to let the host know about your arrival time as soon as you can to avoid any delay getting into your apartment. The location was perfect for us. You can walk to KLCC / Bukit Bintang in 15-20 minutes and everywhere is cheap to get a Grab if you don't want to walk.

If you are looking for a nice coffee, there is a shop across the road that was great. There are also some local establishments to have breakfast each morning just a few minute walk away.

I would say the only negative for us, and it is only a minor one, is that the pool was often crowded with influencers. Undoubtedly one of the most stunning infinity pool views of KL, but of course everyone wants to come to take that photo. During the day it is much quieter but just be prepared for a crowded pool in...

“Moonway Suites at Eaton LLC” messaged me the evening of Dec 30 saying they could not honor our reservation for December 31. (Fortunately, we were able to find alternate lodging.) Interestingly, they won’t cancel my reservation in the Booking system - I continue to receive “awaiting your arrival” messages — so I’ve deleted payment info, and I am hoping they don’t find a way to rip me off.
