I must say this my first visit to TGIF Pavillion after the Covid restrictions from March 2020 till early 2022, and whilst i find the food and service to be satisfactory, my family and i had the biggest shock of our almost 30 years of patronage to TGIF. In fact we have been regulars to TGIF Pavillion since its opening in 2007 and we have never never had such a feeling of unwelcoming in this restaurant. From the moment we approached the host stand to inform table for 3 until the moment we left we never felt welcome. Its not that we had bad service, but the feeling and ambiance at the restaurant is tense throughout our dining time there. The staff is edgy, trying to be friendly but edgy, always looking to their back. Of course the tense feeling was made worse as the were the constant shouting in the kitchen, I mean loud, loud shouting, and when the shouting is happening we could see all the staffs there were really tense and edgy. Thinking there were rowdy guests in the restaurant making commotion our further enquiry shock us when we found out the loud shouting was the manager himself. I believe there were about 6 to 7 tables of customers like us where at every shout all of us were looking at each other, wondering what happened, what's going on and most important i believe all of us were wondering "what happened to customer 1st".....isn't there any respect at all for us the paying customers to enjoy our food peacefully and happily on our weekend day off. I just can't imagine what is going on to this wonderful restaurant. An American chain with such great history in Malaysia. I mean regardless of the situation, i do not believe anyone of us paying customer should be subjected to the continuous shouting and suffer the consequences of a manager's probable failure to control and lead the operations of the restaurant or any restaurant, especially not from a great restaurant as TGIF.
My family and i are very very disappointed to the state of deterioration of this restaurant and wonders its future. I am pretty sure regardless of shortage of managerial manpower faced by service industry at this moment, it does not warrant for a great restaurant as TGIF to turn a blind eye on service and customer...
Read moreVisited TGI Fridays Pavilion KL and had a fantastic dining experience! We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was a treat.
The Seafood Platter was a great starter with crispy calamari, fried fish fillets, and shrimp accompanied by a range of dipping sauces. Everything was well-seasoned and fried to perfection, not too greasy and still retaining a light crunch.
For the main course, we had the NY Peppercorn Steak cooked to medium-well. The steak was juicy and tender, with just the right amount of peppercorn spice. It was served with creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed beans, and fresh broccoli – a perfect combination of flavors and textures.
The Hangover Burger was a hearty delight, topped with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. The patty was juicy and well-seasoned, complemented by crispy fries on the side. It’s definitely a must-try for burger enthusiasts.
The Chicken Wings Signature Glaze were coated in a sticky, flavorful sauce with a hint of sweetness, and the celery sticks on the side gave a nice fresh crunch.
For drinks, we went with a classic Coke and Ice Lemon Tea, both served chilled and refreshing.
Overall, TGI Fridays Pavilion KL impressed us with its lively atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. Would definitely recommend it for casual dining or a night out...
Read moreWe went for our IGNITE society social gathering - a university club on 24/2 and there were 11 of us. All of us had a pretty meh experience with the food. Definitely not worth the price - it was pretty substandard - pasta, fish, chicken, macaroni. The mojitos were nice but kind of sparing with the alcohol. Our bad experience was mostly with the food and the payment. They forgot one of our dishes at one point and she only got her food after the rest of us had finished ours.
Then when it came time for payment they refused to split the bill into individuals so we had to struggle with dividing the bill up and we were short by about RM 50 even though we had all paid for our meals. So they made the group of us run back and forth trying to figure it out and finally they decided to split the bill individually (really they could have just done it at the start), again making things into a big hassle for us. It ruined our mood and atmosphere of our social having to deal with them sorting it all our on top of the already disappointing food. Definitely not going back there - much better food options available for more reasonable prices.
Credit must be given though, our waitress Marissa was very friendly and hospitable and catered to...
