Landmark Cenang — Hotel in Langkawi Island

​I actually booked Landmark by mistake via booking.com I had wanted to book Rebak Island Resort for the regatta but it was a bit tricky. Landmark showed up right underneath Rebak on the screen. I misunderstood Langmark to be part of Rebak Island as the houses looked similar in the traditional wooden style . Once I had booked and paid the confirmtion email from Booking.com showed my mistake. I tried to cancel it but it would not work out even calling them and trying for more than 1 hr. Not knowing that Expedia was a middle man agency. Hereby I tell you that I will never book via Booking.com ever again for their lousy service. Anyway, I contacted the owner of Landmark, Leonard, a young, ambitious man with a vision for his resort and was very much taken by his total flexibility as he offered to change the booking to any time of our convenience. And so we did. Eventually we stayed here in October for our monthly wedding anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The houses our small but very comfortable. lots of nce touched auch as the lamps, the quality of the towels, even bathrobes, the games and books and the very personal welcome letter to us. The bed is at least as good as ours at home. The weather was bad so we made extensive use of the nice bathtub. Had a couple of drinks with our new friend Leonard and met some other travelers here. Apart from our own excellent experience here are some key points. The location is great as it is in walking distance to Cenang and the beach. Plenty of options for eateries and restaurants including my personal favorite Red Tomatoe from my German fellow Tanja. The street dogs can be a bit noisy but it did not bother us at all and they are part of this island. All together extreme good value for money and a great memory. Wonderful Stay at a Perfectly Located Hotel in Langkawi!

I recently stayed at a fantastic hotel in Pantai Cenang, Langkawi, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience. The location is perfect – right in the heart of the lively Pantai Cenang area, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the beautiful beach.

While the view from the room wasn’t exactly what I expected, it was a minor detail that quickly became irrelevant thanks to the exceptional service. The manager, who was incredibly kind and attentive, truly made our stay unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of, making us feel like valued guests. His warmth and dedication turned a small surprise with the view into a delightful experience overall.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Langkawi – it offers great value, unbeatable location, and most importantly, a level of hospitality that you rarely come across.
