Was glad to leave! The saving grace was the location, so close to everything, but the dirty rooms and rude service ruined the stay. ||Cons:|Rude staff, no record of my booking and very disengaged. Not approachable and receptionist annoyed when I refused to accept a dirty room. |First room was very dirty. Hair in the bedsheets and floor, previous guests bath soap in the shower room. Needed a deep clean. Tried no less than 5 rooms to see if any others were better and all as dirty, hairs on toilet etc. Accepted a ground floor room eventually as they wouldn’t refund me. Had no window and had requested a quiet room, all GF rooms behind reception and by the lift so can hear all passing guests, phone ringing on front desk etc. No side lamp so only pitch black or blinding bright ceiling light. |Cockroach and spiders in the room. |Deposits and charges for everything. List on reception for cost of breakages and extras like hangers and deposit needed for key. |Tiny bathrooms which got soaked when the shower was on. |AC blow ferociously cold. ||Pros:|Location. Very close to bus stop, walking distance to all the key sites inc Jonker St. |Hot water in shower. ||Wouldn’t stay again and definitely wouldn’t recommend. ||If you do insist on staying, it’s easy to get to from Melaka Sentral bus terminal. Take the number 17 bus (fare is 2RM) from platform 17 and get off just past Putra Hospital by the Ibis Hotel. Walk to the end of the street and do a right to make a u-turn and it’s along this one way street by the plus size...
Read moreWe arrived at Hotel Bao Shu and were quickly taken to our room, with no window. This is fairly common in Asia so didn't really bother us, but upon flushing the toilet, it began leaking all over the bathroom. we asked for a second room, which upon viewing had hair all over the sheets. The third room we were given looked like it had never been cleaned since the hotel opened. We decided the one with a broken toilet was the best of the three.||||This quality wouldn't bother us, but we paid $55 USD per night, and we'll accept that it was Hari Raya weekend, the quality was on par with places we have stayed for $5-10 elsewhere in Asia.||||On top of the low value, there is no breakfast at the hotel, the wifi doesn't reach the rooms (only lobby), and they do not provide maps or tourist services of any kind. The only real pros: tv in the room (which doesn't swivel though so it makes for awkward viewing) and good location to...
Read moreThe only good thing for this hotel is location, walking distance to jonker, think twice when u book this hotel. There are still alot other hotel along this area. Receptionist guy is rude, no manners when talking to customer. Often shows he is very busy, and does not allow customer to ask more for other related matters regarding parking or parking coupon. Mentioning this is not five star hotel, please do not expect much. We do not expect 5 star service but one star hotel does not mean can be rude to customer. Attitude is lousy.
Room toilet is small, pillow is out of shape and yellowish. Room is different from this photo. This is only acceptable if is normal day with normal price. If you are to pay more when peak period, please choose other hotel , or else you...
