I came to the shop with my siblings and unfortunately our experience was less than enjoyable. We spent the day looking through vintage shops trying to find unique items. We stopped at this store as it was next to other popular stores in the area. My brother entered the store and was greeted by employee. However, that same employee later was essentially accusing my brother of being suspicious and to be on the lookout for him. My brother was wearing a slim card holder that went around his chest. Emphasis on slim, nothing fit in the bag besides his cards. However, the employee felt that this SLIM bag was large enough for my brother to fit something in. As my brother was looking at jeans and hoping to try some on, the employee that greeted him said over his radio to keep an eye on my brother has he had a “bag” and could take something.
This quickly soured our experience and we left the store immediately. How unfortunate that we as Latinos enter a Mexican owned store in our home country and even here are being accused of stealing or looking...

My husband picked out a shirt off a regular shopping rack to try on; one of the staff people promptly took it out of his hand and said it was reserved for another customer. This was not a reserved or prohibited area, even if that was the case, which I have a hard time believing there was no civility in how it was done. It was rude, and the message was clear.
I know anti-Black treatment when I see it, so I immediately dumped all the items I was considering, and we walked out. There are far too many vintage shops in CDMX to receive subpar treatment.
Full disclosure: this incident happened in 2021. We just returned from Mexico City earlier this month and were reminded of one of our only negative experiences in the city. Maybe they treat their customers (Black ones) better now. Who knows, I'll...
Read moreWould NOT recommend. It was a waste of time pero I am from Europe. Still! I think for the price of a stained and worn whatever brand shirt they “curated“ in a beautiful space it’s not worth it. Please go and support artist and designers FROM Mexico because the price is the same. Vintage was supposed to be affordable to give the clothing item another life and here in Mexico city it just feels like a scam. My...
