The Riad itself is a nice, traditional Marrocan architecture with plenty of space in the rooms. Unfortunately, our room was a bit moldy and the little toilet room was really moldy. The bed was not really comfy, I woke up in 3 of our 5 nights in the middle of the night.
Said, the manager and the female employee (I forgot her name) are very friendly and try to provide you with everything they can. That includes a minimalistic but fine breakfast, which is a good start to the day. But for further information you have to ask actively. The Riad has a wonderful rooftop where you can hang out in the evening.
The location can be a bit creepy, since you have to find your way through the extremely stressful old town through a dark alley. After all, there is a massive gate protecting the Riad. If you want to get to Riad coming from the airport or the train station, ask Said to come pick you up. Otherwise this horrible old town culture will rip you off - people "offering" to show you the way and then at least demanding 10€. But that's old town in general. It's not the...
Read moreStaying in Riad Redous was the best decision we could have made! Assma was the best host ever, sweet girl making our stay unforgettable in whom we have found a hopefully lifelong friend! She's extremely attentive and hard-working - give her a promotion!!! Selma, Soukaina and Oumaima were just as great hosts, arranging everything needed, providing us with amazing home-made meals and not missing a chance to bring a smile to people's faces ❤ also, this Riad is in a very central location, within the Medina, surrounded by the always buzzing souks but inside with a very relaxing atmosphere where guests can have some peace and quiet. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view overlooking the old town, and the gang patio downstairs bursts with the scent of orange blossoms. The temperature of the room (the one with the veranda) was just perfect, at around 20 degrees Celsius, but we were also provided a heater if needed. All in all, we've met amazing people in Riad Redous and will be forever grateful for this...
Read moreI have had such a fantastic time in Marrakech and Riad Redous has made it so easy. Perfectly placed in the Medina and so easy to get to everywhere walking. Once you accept that getting a bit lost is ok you are fine. The staff have been incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly for the entire stay. My room was on the rooftop terrace and I felt quite lucky! Yes the room is small and basic but if you want more then stay at a hotel away from the centre and miss out on the experience! Said helped to book trips which were well worth it. To be able to walk out of the riad and be straight into the medina full of cafes, restaurants and shops… and so close to so many places to visit is stunning. A privilege to sit on the rooftop watching the sunset and listening to the call to prayer. Go to the Ben Youseff school round the corner and the Mousouine hammam for an authentic hammam … amazing. This was well worth the money and a...
