My stay at Ananta Home in Kathmandu was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The moment I arrived, I was welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that I immediately felt at home. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed — whether it was arranging transportation, giving local tips, or simply checking in to make sure everything was perfect.

The rooms were spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully designed — cozy beds with fresh linens, great lighting, plenty of space, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. The bathrooms were clean and well-equipped with hot water and all the essentials.

I stayed there 2 times: On our way to Pokhara and on our way back. We did not come to Nepal to climb mountains. We came to Nepal just to see something different and to cool off since we are living 30 kilometers south of the equator in a muslim country side where there is just very limited food. It was a full sucess and very pleasant. I'm somewhat spoiled working for american companies for a while and being diamond member with Hilton and Holiday Inn, but for my private leasure I'm always looking for the small places where you're not just a number Home is where the heart is is more important. Ananta home is one of this places. Very helpfull and friendly staff, they even carried out luggage ( a lot ) to the bus stop so we didn't need to book a taxi. The rooms are very nice, the roof top room is a paradise with views all over Kathmandu. The hotel is at the center of Thamel and all the good stuff is within a little walk right next to the hotel.
