Garden Home Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I am so glad I booked Garden B&B. It was a great intro into Kathmandu. Although Thamel is overwhelming and difficult to navigate, and I cannot recommend Thamel except it seems a necessary stop when trekking if your guide company is there. Mahendra at Garden B&B was so helpful and paid attention to my wants and needs. He helped me find my way to Nagarkot and had the driver stop at Bhaktipur, which I found interesting, similar and much easier to explore than Durbar Square. Mahendra suggested a couple other sites for me to see in Kathmandu and I’m glad he did. I stayed there on two occasions, in two different rooms and both were perfectly comfortable. The cafe was convenient and tasty. It is quiet for Thamel which I greatly appreciated. I would have gone back and stayed on my way flying out of Kathmandu except I chose to stay in Patan instead. This is a family run business and I enjoyed seeing Mahendra, wife, and daughter, who were all personable. If you are going to stay in Thamel, this is a great choice! Garden Home Bed and Breakfasts is located around Thamel in a very peaceful and lovely neighborhood.||All facilities such a restaurants, pubs, pharmacy,transport,travel trekking agencies, supermarket and grocery shops are close by walk. Durbar square is 15 minutes walking and Monkey Temple 40min.||About the rooms. You will find very clean,illuminated and comfortable space.||Delicious and multi cuisine Menu is offered in a good price. Our morning choice used to be nepali organic cooffe with butter jam toast but very complete breakfast set are offered. Something to highlight is the tipical ''nepali khana set'', delicious food to start the day with energy. We also recommend to try momo and tuckpa (noodle soup).
