Hotel Roadhouse — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

The Roadhouse Hotel is a lovely, clean, comfortable hotel with large rooms, nice bathrooms with hairdryers, cable television, free internet and excellent customer care. The photos you see are accurate. I noticed that some reviews comment negatively about sound. I did not find the sound level to be any different from my stays in Manhattan hotels. In my opinion, noise at night is part of the trade off when one books a downtown hotel in a large, lively city.

Other amenities at the stylish Roadhouse Hotel are its attached restaurant and a wine shop next to the hotel for you to buy a bottle and take to your room.. The restaurant has an intimate, warm decor and serves delicious foods many Westerners may miss like thin crust wood-fired pizza. The cappuccinos are very good at breakfast with eggs benedict on waffles.

As I mentioned, we received excellent customer care during our two stays here in the past two weeks. Beautiful, quiet, must-stay hotel in Kathmandu

Hotel Roadhouse is our home away from home. We have stayed here for extended periods of time three years in a row – and we bring travelers with us who also love the rooms, staff, and Roadhouse Café attached to the hotel.

The beautifully appointed lobby and rooms, tastefully reflecting Newar culture, welcome you into an oasis of calm and beauty. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are superb, the rainfall shower is a treat, and every need is attended to, including speedy room service.

Breakfast, which comes with the room, is served at the Roadhouse Café attached to the hotel, where you can get espresso, cappuccino, and a selection of delicious breakfast options. The woodfired pizzas, salads, and other entrée options are excellent for an easy lunch or dinner as well.

The hotel is situated in a prime location in Thamel within easy walking distance to other restaurants, shopping, spas, and pharmacies. The hotel has arranged cars for the day, guided tours for our travelers, and wonderful recommendations.
