We stayed in the kings land hotel on multiple occasions in between our treks in Nepal. ||The hotel offers a airport pickup for 8$ which we gladly used. The manager will wait for you with a sign just outside of the airport together with about 100 other hotel operators. The sign is dark green with white lettering.||The hotel itself is situated in the heart of Thamel on one of the quieter streets. This is very pleasant as you are not faced with the endless crowds of people in front of your window at all times. ||The rooms are nice and cheap. There is enough room to put your backpack and some rooms even feature a double bed. We stayed at this hotel for about 7-8$ per night. Very reasonable if you ask me! ||In the room you find a comfortable bed with 2 sets of sheets. A flatscreen tv, attached bathroom and a window. The wifi is stable and worked throughout our stay. The tv has a lot of channels, even some English ones including hbo which was a great surprise to us. ||The owner of the hotel is very nice. He can help you with most things you need taken care of. Be it planning your trek, getting a guide, tickets for the bus or plane, you name it. The owner also has a tour operating business so you are assured that what he sells you is quality. The owner is very respectful and let's you make your own choices. ||The hotel has a rooftop restaurant and bar where you can enjoy coffee or tea. When we visited the hotel it was not possible to eat on site. From|The roof you had a clear view of the monkey temple, which was also nice.||All in all the hotel had a great hospitable feel to it. This is also why I want to recommend this hotel to all the backpackers that are still unsure about what they want to do in Nepal. The staff will help you on your way and make your stay one...

We were booked for one night before going to Chitwan.|It was clean, a little shabby, but comfortable. The bathroom was ok too.|The guy on the desk then was very polite, welcoming and helpful.|Our second visit was about one week later. The guy on the desk (a different one this time) was more hostile. We were put in room 'Chitwan' on the 2nd floor. This room was dirtier and shabbier than the last time (some of the bedding cleanliness questionable too.. we just used the other bed.) Bathroom was pretty gross'm- the toilet leaked.|Slept well though both times. The second stay our room had several mosquitos that we had to try and squash before bed. No reports of bed bugs from us though.|Could be a brilliant little place if updated and given a good scrub! Needs more thorough and regular cleans please.|Cheap, but not quite...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend randomly picked this hotel at booking.com, which turned out to be the best choice we made! The price is fair and the rooms cosy with good wifi, hot shower and tv and the staff is on top of that wonderful! |We slept there for 3 nights before we went on trekking with 'Visit Heaven'. Saran, the owner of the hotel and the trekking company, is the kindest and most helpful man we met for a long time. Everything was perfectly arranged! We went trekking with his guide Ball, which were great! We had so much fun!|After the trekking we came back to stay at the hotel for another 3 nights. During those days we had our camera stolen somewhere in Tamel. It was really sad, but Saran was so helpful! He printed out a lot of posters for us and really tried everything, helping us getting the camera back.|We are so greatfull that we met Saran, Ball and all the other nice people there! |Now we defently know where to stay, next time we go to...
