Read moreI have tried hard to erase the memory of having lived in this so-called hotel/guesthouse. Painful as it may be to re-live the experience, it would be remiss on my part to not document to ensure it is, at the very least, read (even if it is not considered) by those seeking budget accommodations in Thamel. ||||The reception staff is generally friendly but, as mentioned by other reviewers, the level of enthusiasm in greeting varies from nationality to nationality. The pricing too is highly fluid depending on how well you can negotiate. ||||Most rooms are ill-maintained by terribly uncouth cleaning staff who, might I add, view each guest as a potential thief waiting to break into another room. I had to change three rooms before settling down in one that stank till kingdom come of weed and cigarette smoke, mixed with dampness, and all sorts of puke-inducing concoctions.
