Earlier this year, my husband and I enjoyed two wonderful stays at Nirvana Boutique hotel at either end of our trekking trip around Manaslu 🌞||Nirvana is really a brilliant location, right in the centre of the city, tucked away in a very quiet corner. The breakfast is amazing!! Truly it was yummers. The bedrooms are very comfy and the care with which we were met upon arrival was just lovely. The kind attention which was shown towards ensuring our stay was comfortable continued throughout our stay.||During both stays we fell in love with the beautiful garden ☘️ and on our final day my husband asked if we could take some cuttings of some plants to bring home with us to France. The gardener was so helpful and gave us many cuttings.||Well, once we got them safely home we planted them all over our house 🥰🥰 They are now thriving here alongside our other house plants. Sending a giant thank you to all the staff and the gardener for giving us such a wonderful gift - a living piece of Kathmandu in our own home 💗||We love them 🌿😍 and think of Nirvana Boutique, Kathmandu and our amazing time in Nepal every time we look...
Read moreThe main selling point for this hotel is the garden which provides a real oasis of calm away from the busy streets of Thamel. The hotel is in an excellent location - lots of shops, cafes and restaurants - but we weren't disturbed by any noise at night-time. The rooms are reasonably clean and are serviced everyday with clean towels if you want them - complimentary toiletries are also provided. Very hot water from the shower - although we thought the bathroom could have been cleaner in places. When we arrived back from our trek, we were given a different room that did not have a garden view from the balcony. When I complained, the hotel very quickly put this right and gave us an even better room than the one we booked. The hotel offers one free airport shuttle service with each booking which was also much appreciated after a long flight from the UK. Overall, I got the impression of a hotel that tries very hard to keep their guests happy and comfortable - I would use this...
Read moreI stayed with a group of nine a few months back and we all stayed there. The rooms were nice enough but odd that I had 3 beds in my room so the extra space was minimal. || The room wifi was terrible and often got almost 0 when i needed it. The shower was also not good as it drizzled out with 0 pressure. This was the same when I returned to the same room 24 days later. The staff was good from what I recall and the rooms were clean for sure. The garden was an excellent idea an d privatish area that we cold meet for beers and just lay low. you cold eat there or have a beer to get off the streets and the traffic wasnt hard form the garden area at all. Prices seemed good for meals and drinks and it was located so a short walk to everything. It is for sure nothing fancy as far as rooms go but its nepal and not a big western City. I would stay again if I went back but jsut be prepared for very low wifi and a...
