Culinary Highlight
The standout experience of our stay was undoubtedly the food, especially their aloo paratha. It was, without exaggeration, the best we’ve had in Nepal. Perfectly cooked with a soft, flavorful filling, and accompanied by chutneys and yogurt, the dish was a delightful blend of taste and authenticity. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just passing by, this is a must-try item on their menu.

The ambiance of the hotel was serene, with well-designed common areas that created a relaxing environment. The property also offered facilities such as free Wi-Fi, parking, and a cozy dining area, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers.

Read moreI stayed in this property for couple of days with my wife during Jan'23. The whole property is new (I think started in 2020, I might be wrong). So the building looked new and the overall ambiance was good, clean and hygienic.
Room was decent. It had all the amenities like full length mirror, air conditioner, tv. However, the room size was slightly small. So if you are planning for a longer stay or working from hotel, the size can be a problem. Washroom was nice though. It was spacious. And had continuous hot water.
Breakfast was decent as well. Though it was not buffet and you would get a set menu to choose from few options. (Please refer to the photo for reference. It was one of the set menu option) This property didn't have elevator so you have to climb up the stairs to your room and if you have knee trouble it may bother you. The hotel staffs would carry your luggage though and they were overall very helpful.
I have no complain in terms of the location of the hotel. You will find a lot of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs in walking distance. The Durbar Square is easily accessible from the hotel on foot (10 mins walk). And we enjoyed a lot of time just roaming around the Durbar Square and in people watching with hot cup of tea. It was an easy and entertaining activity for us only because of the location of this hotel. You will also get cab in front of the hotel (if you are ready to wait for 5-10 mins) like we did in our last day when we got a cab just in front of the gate of the hotel for...
Read moreThis was a gem and one of the best places we stayed at in Nepal! It has an oasis and luxury feel, slightly tucked away from busy Thamel street.
The wow impression of the hotel starts the moment you reach the entrance gate. Once you get to the room, you continue to feel impressed with the layout and how spacious the room is, in particular the long spacious washroom. Again, the washroom is spacious and I am quite surprised by the space. Each floor has 4 rooms (I think).
The hotel is very reasonable mid range budget. It offers breakfast - buffet option one day and a la carte another. Every staff is quite attentive, especially during breakfast, and makes you feel so welcome from when you go out to when you return.
My only complaint is the noise echoed on the wooden floor, especially with units above you when they walk in their slippers. Late at night you can also hear the front desk activities if you are on the 1## floor.
Other than that, I highly recommend this place. Resident feline makes the breakfast moment more memorable (she is VERY hyper, borderline...
