My partner and I stayed at this hotel after completing trekking in the Annapurna region. When we arrived the room was very large and spacious, and we were lucky enough to have a front facing corner room with views of the surrounding mountains and a small slice of the Fewa Tal between buildings. The bed was comfortable and all of our amenities worked, however there were several things that required fixing such as an overhead shower that squirted water at the ceiling and a bathtub with duct tape and a broken plug. The breakfast was lovely and I could not fault the staff serving us at breakfast each day - they were warm and overly hospitable. Our biggest disappointment was the service of the desk staff. We had some laundry done and the price was exorbitant. Despite being told it was ready we had to request three times where the laundry was, before finally collecting it ourselves from reception. In the evening one night we had someone call our room several times when we were going to sleep, and then on check out were told we had a drinks charge on our room which thankfully we didn’t need to pay on disputing it. Overall though, we found the staff to be disinterested in their tenants, and often on their phones or begrudgingly welcoming us without any warmth or smile. For the rooms, the convenience of location, mountain views and the breakfast I would stay again. But for service,...
Read moreWe checked into the hotel at 3 AM and were hell tired from long and a arduous road journey from Bhutwal to Pokhara. So crashed into bed straight. Rooms were nice, big and ample lighting. The tea table is also adequately stacked. The bathrooms were also clean though was expecting some more toiletries since we had left our bags behind, this being an impromptu plan. Yeah! We just came to rather drove into Nepal and all the way to Pokhara just like that. A story for another time and another place. Coming back to Hotel Queen Spark, the view from 4th floor of the huge pristine lake is breathtaking. They also have a nice terrace seating if you want to have ur tea/coffee directly under the sky! The breakfast buffet was decent. Had all the basic ingredients, more so for vegetarian folks like ourselves. All in all a great deal and at reasonable price. We were three people in one big room which had 1 double and 1 single bed. I am coming back to Pokhara and to Queen Spark for sure. Yes. The wifi is complimentary and it...
Read moreMy booking was for a bigger room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, but upon checkin I was given a room with a double bed and a floor mattress. Upon asking, the person at reception asked me to "ADJUST" as they are full. It is not my problem. They should have not taken the booking in the first place if they cannot accomodate. He said he can put a rolling bed in the same room instead of mattress and would give me a bigger room (one I had booked for) the next day, which he didnt. He did not even have the courtesy to contact me the next day to give a bigger room. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Sheer looting!! The room provided also wasnt very clean. The pot in the washroom wasn't clean. Dead insects on the floor. Next day I asked for room cleaning and they didnt even care to take the trash out of the dustbin in the room. This 1 star is only because the breakfast was good. Else, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. There will be multiple options in the same budget where you will atleast get the room you paid...
