BEDBUGS I checked in on July 9. I originally would have been flying out but due to the Hurricane my flight was cancelled and rescheduled to Friday. Therefore, my trip to Amsterdam was extended. I was very exhausted and decided to take a nap in the afternoon as soon as I got the room. Upon waking up, I discovered bed bugs on me and on the sheets. When I killed one, it stained the sheets with blood. I was only in the room for a few hours. I took a video of the room once I arrived because although the reviews are true about the difficult to navigate stairs and small rooms - I was happy to have a place to stay considering it was last minute. Both Taylor and Priscilla at reception were incredibly kind and helpful. My issue is with Quentin’s Reservation online staff (Ieva) who stated I wouldn’t be receiving a full refund due to the following: “Upon learning of the bed bug issue, we immediately offered to transfer you to Quentin Zoo Hotel, a 4-star hotel, to ensure your comfort and safety. However, we understand that you declined this offer. Regrettably, due to the refusal of the alternative accommodation we provided, we are unable to issue a full refund for your stay.” Contrary to the email, I was not offered a stay at the Quentin Zoo hotel or told that “refusal” would forfeit a refund. I was offered a different room in the hotel - which I declined. Again, everyone I spoke with in person was understanding and helpful. The location was perfect. In terms of service, when also factoring in Receptions Online Staff, I gave them 2 stars. The room should receive a 0 for the bed bugs but the view and layout was something I was initially very excited about. Attached are the photographs and videos.

The only saving grace of this hotel is its location. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful, very steep stairs, no elevator and no one to help carry luggage to our room, which was on the 3rd floor. Of the four nights we stayed here, only ONE morning our room was made up, in spite of me requesting it and hanging the 'please make up my room' tag on the door. This meant we had no coffee, except the first morning and for four days our dirty cups from the first morning's coffee stood on the table. At least we received clean towels each day, which meant someone was in the room but didn't bother to do anything else. The last morning we only had one towel. Our room was incredibly small, bed had no headboard, not enough space in cupboard for clothes, and window couldn't open or close properly. It was propped up by a piece of wood to keep it open! The bathroom was beyond tiny. Could barely move in there and there is no space to place a vanity case, or even a make up bag. There was some renovation happening, which wasn't pleasant during our stay, but at least it shows they're improving some aspects, but this will not give me much confidence to return again. I would not recommend. Nothing looks like it does on their photos. It was more expensive than a very nice hotel we stayed in Paris just days before, and you can't even begin to compare it with other hotels in the same price range. I'd suggest rather staying somewhere else.

After a hurricane in the United States left my client stranded in Amsterdam, we booked this hotel for her. The location was one that she was comfortable with, and the rate was highly discounted through a site provided from the airline. Upon arrival my client laid down for a nap, and woke up to find bugs in her bed. She was offered another room, which she declined, and was informed that she would be given a full refund due to the circumstances. Later she was offered a room at a sister hotel, that she declined because she already had a new booking. When she requested the refund, it was refused because she declined the offered rooms. As a travel advisor I believe that the comfort, safety, and security of my clients is more important than any dollar amount. Whether or not another hotel room was offered, and whether or not it was in a different hotel, and whether or not that hotel was 4 stars or more, is of little consequence if my client was not comfortable staying there. Your hotel had bugs, and the bottom line is that you should have refunded her money. You had the opportunity to act with grace and integrity, and sadly you chose an alternate path, breaking the relationship with my client, and with me, not just for this one hotel but for the brand

am not plaeased over may stay in Quientin Hotel Amsterdam.||I arrived on friday 24 august 2023 to participitate in ESC congress.||When i arrived one personal in the mainway showed me the way to the reception.Few steps upp and I met one personal in the reception who asked me to completel some informations and told me that I must pay about 80 euro as a tax for the city .I was chocked ,I did not know about it .In the beginning I found bisarr to pay another 80 euro when the resevation for 4 night costed about 1700 euro.I refused in the beginning because some of my coleugues in other hotells did not pay such a fee but when I read the reservations voucher carefully ”the small crowded text” I knew that this tax should be paid.||I paied the fee that he wanted via my credit card and he gave me the key to the room och told me that there was en elevator and that I need to go to port no 68 ,room no. 1424.||I did like he said and I became very surprised because room 1424 is very lilte, without being very accurate measuring about 2 meter by 2,5 meter with dusch and toilet inside ,with low cieling and narrow little window,i thing tat this romm was the highest room ,may be near the roof of the building. The cieling is enough low to get tightness over my chest beasue the rum was so tight and so dark och with very minimum standrad . I did not like the room.I went to the reception again and I told the same reception personal that this is a bad rum to live in and that I want to change it to another rum.||He said its fully booked ||I said there should some solutions ,I get tightnes over my chest and i cannot spend 4 nights in such small room.I paid momey for a single rum och i want the rum accoring to resevation.||He said that this the rum that I have booked.||||I said: no this is not the one I booked and this rum shuld not be rent as a hotel rum to anybody .||He said: I cannot do anything but if you pay more I can upgrade the rum.||I said :I want the room which my agency booked and not this room.||He said :all hotel rooms in Amsterdam are like this rum.||I said :no you have wrong and you are not telling me the truth , I cannot believe that all hotel rooms in Amsterdam are so bad.I feel I have been cheated and will cotact the police to help me.||He said: I will help you to get the police here,I will take contact with them instead of you.||I said: please do that||He said :I will call the police to kick you out.||I said :you can not say something like this and the police cannot kick me out as you want because I paid about 2000 euro för 4 nights and I want my right ,the person who claims his right can not be kicked out by the police ,please call the police.||he said : I will not do that,if you want do it yourself||I said:but you have just said you will call the police ,why you retreat please call them I need thier help,if you dont please give me the number to the police and I will call them my self||He said: its universal number in Europ 112 ||||I called 112 and under 2 minutes I explained to the police the situation that I had and that I have been cheated but the police did not take this matter as en emergemcy matter and did not come.||||At this moment I had no choice just to spend the night att that hotel with saddnes and with tightnes av my chest .Directly i left the hotel to the city to get some space ,i did not want to get back to the room ,but later in the evening i get back and direktly when i came to the room I coles my eyes to avoid seeing the very low cielijng and the room.||The day efter i met another personal in the reception and he said that he could not do anything because its was fully booked the whole week.||I called the agenccy that bookdd the hotel and they make notes to avoid booking of this hotel in the future and gave the oppotunity to make another boking in anotjer hotel ,I refused becasue a dis not ant another victim to be cheated like me ,||I sepnt all the 4 nights in the hotel with long periods of ...

ATTENTION!!! THE WORSE LIAR HOTEL EVER IN AMSTERDAM!!!! AVOID!!!

I am still very upset because of the horrible memory in this hotel.

I've booked a room in Quentin Hotel Amsterdam for May 10th during a little vacation for celebrating the 3rd anniversary with my boyfriend.

Photos and description on their page are all nice and pretty, however, the actual room that they gave us was horrible! They gave us a room in another hotel which had nothing to do with the photo and description they had put online!!

There was a fishing net right outside the window, hanging with something like seaweed and a flip-flop inside the fishing net, yes, a FLIP-FLOP! The room was small and somber and there were stains on the wall. The bathroom had a smell of urine. I couldn't open the window to get fresh air, because if I do, I will see the flip-flop covered by seaweed and dirt in front of me. It was so disgusting that I almost vomited the moment I saw the room.

I was completely shocked by the way how Quentin Hotel fools the consumers:

The room I've booked is in Quentin Hotel, but they actually gave us a room in a hotel called King Hotel in the same street. All the information online and even the receipt I've received are titled by the name and the logo of Quentin Hotel. They have never mentioned anything about King Hotel until the moment we went back to Quentin Hotel and complaint about the room.

Quentin Hotel insisted that the two hotels are the same. I was too SHOCKED to response to this argument of insanity -- how can these two hotels be the same?!!!!! Names are different, logos are different and the rooms are extremely different! Does Quentin Hotel think that we consumers are STUPID or BLIND?

When I complaint about this, here's the response from the hotel -- "there is nothing we can do because the hotel is fully booked, YOU CAN LEAVE IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE ROOM". We were carrying luggage, tired and upset, but the hotel just tells us to leave or to accept the disgusting room which had nothing to do with the photos they put online. Besides, it was almost impossible to find a room in Amsterdam center Saturday.

I wrote an email to Quentin Hotel before our arrival telling them that it was our 3rd anniversary and I asked if it was possible to reserve a room facing the canal. The hotel has replied and told me that they had taken it under consideration. I wrote another email to the hotel telling them that I have changed to a more expensive room because I wanted to give my boyfriend the best memory. Again, the hotel told me that they were informed about it. They have enough time and enough chance to tell me that they have reserved that room for me, but they didn’t! Knowing that I was coming for our 3rd anniversary with the love of my life, the hotel still gave me a room with fishing net, disgusting slipper and stains!!! “YOU CAN LEAVE IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE ROOM” yes, I will! If you have told me before that the room will have nothing to do with the photo you put online, I would have enough time to reserve another hotel!

So here’s my experience in Quentin Hotel. I was very upset, and my boyfriend was very angry against the way Quentin hotel fooled us. This horrible experience has ruined our anniversary day (by the way the WI-FI was broken, so there was no WI-FI, imagine how upset we were when we knew that we couldn’t search for help through internet). It was certainly a deception to use the name and photos of one hotel but actually putting people in...

Booked this hotel purely due to location and cheap price for location. Pictures online looked great so was looking forward to the stay and didn’t think there would be any issues.|Fast forward to us arriving, the stairs outside alone are an accident waiting to happen. When we got in, young boy at reception wearing ear pods so not fully listening to us. Didn’t take them out the whole time we were speaking. Took £100 damage deposit which I was shocked at (especially after seeing the rest of the “hotel” I think they’ve caused enough damage themselves). Anyway, get checked in, told where our room is and asked if we need help with luggage upstairs. We laugh and say no cause it’s only hand luggage… well. what a mistake that was. The stair case is like something out of faulty towers with hand rail about coming off in your hands as you hold on for dear life climbing the steepest, thinnest stairs you’ve ever come across. Get to our room 204 and there’s a huge extension cable sitting right in front of fire extinguisher. The location of the door looked like a wee corner storage cupboard door. On entry to the room this is exactly what it was. A small double bed, desk, and a dolls house sized wardrobe and a tv. Standard - fine. The room was tiny, the desk was filthy, the kettle was filthy and glasses were water stained. I didn’t even want to look in the bathroom, however only think that looked nice was the sink! Very very small, very basic and NOTHING like the pictures! The window may as well have been a sheet of paper as could feel the wind coming through and the room was cold. Walls were VERY thin could hear everything about you and around you. There was a constant banging but could not work out where this was coming from. Thankfully we got our damage deposit back and went to another hotel across the road. Totally killed the vibe for our first night.|Would NEVER ever...
