We are sure that B&B Rust is a good establishment overall, but we had a very bad experience. We would like to warn all travellers who wish to arrive after 7pm to find another more flexible establishment. The host is reluctant to welcome people after this time and this is not clearly mentioned when proceeding to booking. When we booked, we gave notice of our late arrival (between 9pm and 10pm). As our transport was late, we turned up 35 minutes late, tried to call and ring, but no assistance. The host simply left us in the middle of the street and sent a message advising us to find other accommodation. Neither the host nor Booking.com supported us we didn’t get any refund.

We had to urgently manage a rebooking elsewhere. This host is certainly very friendly with private customers, but in our case, for a business trip with exhausting working hours, we wouldn't recommend him. This behaviour is simply...

I would highly recommend this accommodation for a short trip to Amsterdam. Myself and my partner had an extremely smooth experience with Matthijs the host from start to finish, he was incredibly friendly and informative and wasn't too strict with rules. Considering how close the apartment was to central Amsterdam, even on new years eve we didn't experience too much noise and felt very safe and comfortable.
