Our last night in Cusco, we were heading to our hotel and heard great music. We walk in and this place was packed. It is modern clean and has a big bar. Ok so why the one star rating. I sit at the bar, order a beer and a whiskey. The bartender hands me the beer and a real foggy glass with something that smells like whiskey but looks like lemonade. I immediately notice it and bring it to the bartenders attention. In front of both me and a manager they poured a new glass straight from the bottle. What a surprise this time it was not watered down. They tried to screw me with a watered down version of whiskey. What a low life, horrible scum like move for a place that looks so classy. To make matter worse the manager who was standing in front of me said nothing, did nothing and just took the watered down glass away like it was normal business. My suggestion if you find yourself here is order beer or straight shots of your favorite alchohol. If you get a mixed drink here "heavily pushed on there drink menu" you will get some water down version for...
Read moreHands down the best food I've eaten in all of Peru, this place is a little more pricey than some of the other places near the main plaza, but also cheaper than others. The two times I walked by I almost missed it because it didn't have the usual pushy staff outside pestering you to come in and try their food! Very attentive staff, well stocked bar but some glaring omissions from their classic cocktail menu and some incredibly tasty main courses, the best part of the experience, or on par with the flavour and portion size was the spectacular presentation of the food! Seriously, order the chicken wings, they give you a decent amount (unlike most restaurants I've ordered wings from) and they are served with fire on the edge of the plate, a very neat touch! Also the mini alpaca burgers are super tender and look very impressive! Plus the best garlic potato wedges I've ever eaten, anywhere! Can't speak for other cocktails but the Machu Picchu was professionally crafted and delicious! In my opinion, the best...
Read moreIt's a nice place to eat something and drink some of their good cocktails. The bad thing is that the decoration is nice in the first room and then it changes inside. The toilets (men's) were dirty, damaged and didn't even have paper (to be a "nice" bar-restaurant, they should have a better toilet.
The food is good, they definitely have a good chef and workers in the kitchen, it is expensive but worth it.
The cocktails are also good, especially the pisco and fruit cocktails, but in the other hand they are a bit expensive compared to other places in the area.
The live music is to be applauded, very good musicians and repertoire, but the sound was too loud and should be turned down a bit.
The waiters were very friendly, attentive and respectful at all times.
If you want to spend a time that combines food, drink and music, then this is the place for you, but be prepared with...
