My experience at this hostel was quite bad. Like some others reviewers said when I arrived I had problems with my bookings. I booked through hostel world and when I arrived they made me check my email to see which rate I had to pay. Then they tried to put me in 8 dorm when I had booked a 6 ensuite dorm. I protested and they put me in the right room, saying though that I had to pay the difference! crazy! I insisted again, and refused to pay. It was New Years eve so I had no where else to go! But that's not it! the night before going to Machu Pichu I booked a taxi through them and the clearly overcharged me by doubling the rate. After arranging the time to be picked up I went to bed. After I fell asleep a guy from the reception came shaking me in my bed trying to wake me up because he didn't remember what time I wanted my taxi to arrive!!!! And finallly....after returning from Machu Pichu I was exhausted and wanted a shower, but people from other rooms started to come into mine to use my bathroom. The bathroom of another room had broken and instead of sending the people of this room to the common bathroom the send them to my room! As i protested to reception the woman working there was very rude and told me that I wasn't in a private room so there were allowed to send people in my room!!! My staying there was a nightmare. Staff don't know how to do their jobs and treat...
Read moreI usually travel without reserving a place in a hostel for the night and boy, was that a mistake for Cusco during Semana Santa. This place, hidden at the end of a long driveway close to the city center, was the first one in line of six or so that had a free bed. So I put my bones to rest here. Eventually, I ended up staying for 5 nights in total. For 30 soles/night I got a bed in the nice and clean 12-bed dormitory above the reception. There's good wi-fi or computers with internet, lockers (you have to bring your own lock though), common room with a TV, English-speaking staff, filling breakfast included. Also, the view of Cusco from the place you have breakfast is wonderful. However, make them give you a receipt if you pay upfront. Somehow, they forgot about my payment, but luckily they didn't insist on me paying again. Finally, they say breakfast starts at 8 AM, but there's usually food from...
Read moreInka Club Hostel, is a nice hostel very close to Plaza de Armas in Cuzco, so if you are looking for museums or take a look around the historic center it will be really usefull.||The hostel promises hot water and free wifi, well none of them is available at all times, sometimes you run out of hot water and most of the times wifi is out of order.||Rooms are small but comfotable ( I booked the family room 4pax), beds are warm and you have a small tv with cable conection.||Staff is almost always busy, they are not rude but they seem to have a lot of work so they aren´t too friendly either.||Search wisely and if you can call and try to book your room directly, since expedia for example shows a price almost double the current value.||Location is great and the...
